Anybody know if the 20/20 on Friday will include JWs? Its about religious groups covering up sexual abuse....

Even if they don't mention the dubs, watching it with my dub family will be a good way to have the whole Child Abuse "serendipitously" dropped in my lap.

Just watched the 20/20 program on pedofiles in protestant churchs,,didnt not mention JWs,,mostly southern baptist churches,,so they are being exposed,,they don't have a database on pedofiles but are apparantly working that. good exposure and alert for people in the church arenas.

I'm watching the program now.
Jim Avila (the reporter) was raised a witness. I don't think he was ever baptized, but don't know for certain. His dad (Jim Simon) was an elder in my congregation.

Thanks for sharing that Aude, can you tell us more about Jim Avila, do you know what his personal opinions of the JW religion are?
I could only watch small segments of it last night as I was at work at the Jail, however an Inmate said he would listen to it on his radio (which picks up TV) and listen for mentions of JW's. He also said that JW's werent mentioned. Im kinda disappointed they werent. -

Maybe we should all write 20/20 and ask them why jw's were left out? we could even allude to the fact the reporter was affiliated with the jw's at one time and could have a 'unique' perspective and at the same time educate the reporter himself and introduce him to Silentlambs?
