I kept the field service for the week days, when less people were at home.
Me too, and the donut shops were less crowded too. After service I'd hang out in a local bar that had some hot waitresses. Those were my favourite days. Weekends sucked because my ex usually had some kind of plans for me that did not include the consumption of beer.

Will you marry me?
I loved Sunday afternoons; nothing WT until Tuesday night (I pre-studed just before on Tuesday). I went to one congregation with WT sunday, books study Monday and TMS/SM on Tuesday. Made Wednesday, Thursday, Friday open. Our family never pre-studied and rarely went out on weekends.

Crumpet got it right but being a servant for 29 years, add shepherding calls, elders meeting, parts for the service meeting, public talks to prepare, dealing with your wife and kids in trying to keep them spiritually strong and don't forget
working approx. 40-50 hours a week to pay the bills.
No wonder my marriage fell apart
Saturday morning CARTOONS! YAY!!! My mom never took us in service, ever. However, when I stayed with my grandparents, we did go out in service on Saturday mornings, but I loved being with them because they made it fun and we ate out at restaurants afterwards. I did envy the little kids at the doors who had the tv on then. I tried to watch it while the grown ups were talking. I really liked all of the non-meeting evenings, but hated Sunday with every ounce of me. It was always cold in the mornings and I wore short socks with cute open shoes and short dresses. Freezing!
I'm with Blondie about Sunday afternoons. Unfortunately, we had many elder's meetings and shepherding calls then. So, I guess Saturday nights was party night for me.
Crumpet,
You poor thing! No wonder you quit, among other reasons, of course. Your family forced it down your throat. My dad's parents did that to him and his brother. Their WT studies at home would last 4 hours! His brother wants nothing to do with it and my dad doesn't go but listens on telefon. That is an awful childhood. No kidhood at all .
We never pre-studied as a family. Though there were times when my mom or dad would get on a kick and want a family study. Those lasted one or two weeks, and then dad was pulled away by Elder business. I think that in the years I was living with my parents as a minor, we had maybe ten to twenty family studies. The joy of being a Dub is that you get so indoctrinated with the teachings, that all you have to do is skim the articles or parts, and pretty much know what is going to be taught. It made commenting easier, since all you had to do was rearrange the wording.
Edited to add: My favorite day of the week was Friday, I could go to movies, and have general worldly fun. I also liked Mondays, because during football (American) my dad and I would watch Monday Night Football.
Mondays after school we prepared for the Book study then it was bed time
Tuesday's we were at the bookstudy then it was bed time
Wednesday's - personal study with parent in youth book or YPA book
Thursday's - at the meeting then bedtime
Friday's - evening witnessing in the summer and Family Study in the winter
Saturdays - morning witnessing and Family Watchtower study in the afternoon, Evening family recreation activity.
Sunday - Public Talk and Watchtower and afternoon return visits
Crumpet...We must have been sisters!!
Except our Thursday night meetings were on Friday night. The elder's did this so discourage the youth from being able to participate in Friday night activities...sports..etc.
