Will JWs leave the org because of accelerated doctrine change?

Looks like the WTS is morphing into a totally diferent religion. They are trying to get new converts any way they can at the same time they are trying to patch previous doctrine in an attempt to give the illusion of true prophecy.

Hey WTS, no matter what you do it won't work. The 1914 date is pure fiction, so is 1918/19. Now as you find out your 1935 date is also pure fiction. Too bad you had to find out that Freddy was a false prophet! We know all your secret discussions in the WTS board rooms as there are moles there. You can't rewrite what you say happened in 1914 or 1918/19 can you now??? Really WTS, I can't believe your arrogance and total lack of conscience as you promote your organization as the only truth. You are the very hypocrites that Jesus spoke about. You DID shut the door to heaven did you not? . The scriptures warn not to do that. See how you have been decieved by your own self righteousness. Furhter I demand 5,000 cash for all the time I spent working on your two kingdom halls!. You always hold out your hand and take whatever you can get. I sincerely pray that the WTS will be wiped off the earth

Look at the Romainian True Faith Jehovah's Witnesses they defected because thay could not take your arrogance

Now try and explain the 1935 thing to a non jw who knows nothing about them! My girlfriend was trying to grasp what I was talking about but then you have to bring up new light, and why 1935 to begin with? annointed? what? oh my, this gets very complicated doesn't it? how do they keep it all straight? 5 meetings a week assures that. sounds like a cult! Now your getting it!!

A few will. Lots more leave because of a social setback. The Witness group is a group with no respect for personal boundaries. They don't have their own boundaries, and they don't respect other Witness' personal boundaries. They are constantly offending each other. Eventually offences pile up and people get sick of it and quit associating. That was the big part of my exit.

I was paying to be offended.

I had one HUGE disconfirmation and lots of insults. If I had been very well treated I might have survived the disconfirmation and still associated on some level if not zealous. The disconfirmation made me not trust the Witnesses and the harassment pissed me off. That's always a good way to get a person like me to quit.

I'm still experiencing the fallout of my decisions I made while in the group, and that was 33 years ago.

JWs seem to be their own worst enemies. This whole policy of shunning is counterproductive. Had anyone shown me Christian concern and kindness during my doubting period I also might have continued an active JW. But the opposite happened. The "brothers and sisters" withdrew from me and my family. The elders who called were not interested in my spiritual wellbeing. They only wanted to know whether or not I still recognized the Watchtower as "God's channel." When I expressed some doubts based upon the scriptures, they took judicial action and df'd me for "apostasy." Such is the "love" that exists in the organization!

It took awhile, but I left over doctrinal changes. Others will.

I agree with the general opinion that social setback will cause the leavings.
For every one person that leaves for doctrinal changes, there are hundreds observing something happening-
family, friends, congregation. Eventually, some of those will do some questioning.

The vast majority will probably leave as WTS reaches too far into somebody's life and the observers
    don't agree with the shunning.

Actually, I am hoping that a huge scandal will erupt out of Brooklyn to open a floodgate.

I think many dubs will leave as has already happened in the past with big doctrinal changes but then most will stay due to the fact that they don't have good critical faculties and go along with the new light concept or otherwise have an interest in remaining JWs. Only the blood doctrine can cause major trouble when they decide that blood transfusions are not wrong by Biblical standards.

"You always hold out your hand and take whatever you can get."

What organized religion is this NOT true of? Have you tried getting MONEY actual CASH from your current denomination when you are financially strapped? Your denomination is NOT going to give you even one thin dime! WAKE UP! There will be fellow members of your local church who will probably help you out with food, etc, but no cash will EVER be forthcoming from your actual denomination. Religious orgs, ALL of them, are about TAKING money not GIVING money. Yet most of you former Dubs leave Despot A and embrace Despot B, drop Mind Control Org A for Mind Control Org B. What's wrong with you people? Are you so desperately afraid to stand on your own that you MUST be part of a HERD? Sweet baby Jesus with his thumb up his...nose! -Martin

I don't think this is true of all chuches. I know churches in this area who have food kitchens, clothing closets and counselling centers....all free to anyone interested. This is in contrast to the Kingdom Halls where nothing is offered like this even to their own members. I've known individual JWs who were caring and giving. But the Watchtower is not known for its charity.

My wife and I have chosen not to associate with a church. But we feel free to contribute to those that have these facilities available to those in need.

This is exactly what happened to Mouthy. After 25 years of dedication, she just happened to mention in passing one day out in Service that she didn't think Jesus returned invisibly in 1914. Two week later, she was DF'd for 'apostasy'.

Yes, in alot of respect, they're their own worst enemy. Mouthy has helped countless people see the truth about 'the Truth' and helped them leave the Borg. Had the idiots not DF'd her, this would have most likely never happened. They don't give a damn if their wacko doctrines are scripturally based or not. All they care about is asking "do you believe the Organization is God's sole means of distributing truth here on earth?" end of story. If you answer 'no', you get the Axe. They don't care what kind of proof you have because they're not interested in what's right or wrong. They only care about 'unity at all costs'. Idiots.
