Of course Jehovah's Witnesses have a choice whether or not to accept blood transfusions.
If they choose wrongly however, there is a price to pay which is excommunication and the loss of their family and loved ones. Little wonder many choose to die instead........the consequences are much the same either way.
As I lay, potentially bleeding to death after a sudden massive haemorrage during and emergency C section, I knew that if I accepted the blood the doctors were offering me and infact pleading with me to take, I would be as good as dead any way. So, I chose not to take the blood. I survived because of excellent medical care. Not everyone is that lucky.
But I had a choice. I could die from no blood, or I could 'die' taking blood, by losing all my family anyway.
That IS the choice!
I wonder how many JWs or ex JWs have survived by the skin of their teeth because of fear of the wrath of the WTBTS!

It's a sad thing to see anyone argue for the death of someone when that someone, or in the the case of the surviving sextuplets, those little someones have so much potential for a good and happy life. How sad that multinational printing company is paying for someone to argue for the death of innocents. What are they trying to cover up? I wonder.

I dont know what is the big thing about forcing jehovhas witnesses to take blood. Last time I checked blood was a very scarce commodity. The less the twits take the more there is for me in case I need it.

No, I don't --just my common sense-! It is pretty obvious how these policy changes are developed before they are are promulgated. No doubt the system in place on the GB that Ray franz describes in his books is still functining in the same fashion.

Isn't it interesting that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms does not apply to ORGANIZATIONS.... but to INDIVIDUALS.
Once you open the can of worms that ORGANIZATIONS have rights and freedoms, they can claim that they have government backing to compel their members / employees to do whatever they deem to suit the ORGANIZATION'S belief structure.
That smells like a recipe for corruption.
