When I was a new babie dub, conventions had night sessions so people were forced to go back after dinner. They scheduled the drama(s) at the night session(s) to get people to come. So, yeah, I can believe there's a similar reason for moving the drama to Sunday afternoon. They were probably losing attendance due to people heading home early.

A lot of people do leave at the end. They have flights to catch or long drives home, so it would make sense.
Every JW loves the drama! -

Dont the dramas stink now? No good costumes, no dimmed lights, lame soundtracks?
On a similar topic, my JW relative says that the "new" WT video about youth is well produced and a tearjerker. Hmmmmm. -

LOL at BumbleBee!
Well, you remember (how they used to say) that after lunch, there's no blood in your brain because it all went to your stomach to digest your lunch, so nobody could pay attention as well in the afternoon. Hence a "lively" drama which won't require focus and concentration, note-taking, etc. The afternoon speaker(s) probably got tired of looking at a crowd of people nodding-off. It's a wonder they didn't change it before now.

Don't they make DVDs yet?

I love the way the participants magnify their gestures by about 1000%.
Anytime they say "Jehovah" they need to raise their arms to the sky as far as they can and shake them for each syllable.
Seriously, I should create a workout tape called "Sweating to the Drama" I could make a mint! -

The Tearjerker Youth "video" is indeed a DVD and discussed at the service meeting tonight
