The Faithful and Discreet Slave is an IDOL

When I was a dub I remember including the FDS in my prayers because I did what all the other dubs were doing. Little did I know that I was worshipping and idol. The fact is the FDS does not exist other than in the mind of the brainwashed victim. The bible warns agianst idol worship or worshipping entities. The only thing we know about the FDS is that it is a man made entitiy. There is no scriptures that say persons are to include the FDS in their prayers. This actually violates the Lords Prayer. Jesus never said anything about praising the FDS during prayer.

Yet it is normal activity for JWs to praise/worship the FDS consistently during prayer. Of course I do not pray anymore anyway because I don't want to fall into the rat trap of religion. Most Jws will never accept that the Faithfull and Discreet Slave is pure fiction and utter nonsense so they will continue leading their empty, hollow lives worshipping and slaving for an entitiy that does not exist. How sad

JW's bow down and worship the FDS and then have the audacity to condemn Christians for bowing down and worshiping Jesus.

You have made a very good point. Idolatry is defined as worship of an image, idea or object, as opposed to the worship of the supreme being. The worship need not be explicit or overt; it can be implicit and unwitting. It's nature is insidious. But it's not so much the 'faithful and discreet slave' that is idolised as the Watchtower Society. The FDS is a nebulous entity, comprising 8,500 or so scattered individuals identified solely through their partaking of the memorial emblems. For all other intents and purposes they are completely indistinguishable from the 'great crowd'. The FDS have absolutely no input into what 'food' is dispensed by the Watchtower Society; they simply consume whatever the Watchtower dishes up, no questions asked, just like the 'other sheep' do.

It's more correct to say that JW's are idolising the GB and the organisation itself.

Not to be pedantic, but prayers offered on behalf of a group of fellow believers or to express thanks for what they do (such as the GB) is not idolatry or worship of that group. Instead, idolatry of the Watchtower Society is evident by JW's having given their minds and consciences completely over to the Watchtower idol. They unquestioning accept and submit to the Watchtower's every interpretation, creed and policy. The Watchtower Society flagrantly encourages the idolatry, constantly lauding itself for providing so much spiritual food. The view is that Jesus has abrogated all spiritual authority to the GB. In this the Watchtower Society are acting very much like Moses when he personally claimed to have provided the Israelites with the water from the rock, something Jehovah was very displeased with and punished Moses for.

From the platform, JWs regularly say thanks to the faithful and discreet slave, or God's organisation, for something during prayer. It's rare that they're not mentioned in a prayer thanking them for providing spirtual food at the meeting. It's rare that Jesus gets a 'Thank you' for anything. If he wasn't allowed that obligatory mention at the end of prayers, he would get less mention than the FDS. This is shown when experiences are related from the platform (usually at Conventions and Assemblies) a brother or sister who got through a hard time will almost always thank 'Jehovah and his Organisation' for getting him/her through it. What about Jesus!? What does he even do in their religion?

They go so far as to say, dont have posters for that is idolatry,

Dont celebrate birthdays because that's idolatry

    blah, blah, blah...

and they think that just because they havent made an image of the FDS that they are not worshipping it, or rather, having the R&F worship them.

They point their fault-finding fingers at Christendom for having idols, oh well, at least Christendom is worshipping something more than just mere men
