    Great questions Terry

If I can narrow down to a few points, my think is as such:

There is just a huge amount of knowledge held by tons of us on this board (and others). Many of us share the knowledge we have here with others, but it only lasts so long in the main threads and such.

My main idea was just to get those of us who have tons of information, documents, and whatever else to have a place where we can upload it all and share. The wiki software is great because it allows for discussions, moderation, as well as a whole bunch of other features that allow a community of users to build a website. Don't think of it as us just remaking what is over at wikipedia, that's not my point in this. I simply want to have a central location where we can put everthing all of us have. At least, that is the basic idea.

The web is at it's most powerful when people work togeather on a project. It is in this way we can keep check on each others work (making sure nothing crazy is published) and continue to give solid information.

    Lady Lee

I'm not suggesting that at all. I want people who have written and created their material to be able to share it in a manner that is eaisly accessable and open to all. Moderation of this kind of a site would be necessary and stealing of peoples material would not be permitted.

As I have stated, it's all about the user posting their information and research, things they have collected themselves, not things they have simply taken from others.

The forum is a great way for us to share information, but lots of great stuff gets lost in the shuffle. This idea is more about letting people archive information they have, and letting a user research that material.

Yes. Clearly, the best way hasn't been done yet!

I'd love to see it happen.

And, by the way, anything and everything I write is absolutely free for reprint permission.

    So, here i am again...

I have tried to make a sandbox on my site, to see if it could be an agreement on the organisation of a wikisite, try it here:

    http://en.jwpedia.org/Main_Page

Well i think that it must be an international project, so my french wiki is on http://fr.jwpedia.org...

    Bye

    Charles
