It sounds unbelievable but it's not the first of April so it may well be true. Why do they want to destroy the lives of young children of all people?

The press are like crazed piranhas with this terrible shooting in Virginia.
It's hardly surprising that all the sicko wannabees start coming out of the closet.
After the terrible Amish shooting incident, a psychologist was on the news stating that it was the press that encouraged these outrages with their sickening, detail squeezing news coverage and because of how they behaved there would be many more such incidents.
The press is as sickening in their reaction as the perpetrators as they give the Perps exactly what they are looking for and do not deserve, a wide audiance and world wide press coverage and FAME!!
State what has happened, yes that's fine. BUT NO MORE!!

This idiot crankster surrendered to the police last night.Yuba City's about an hour away from here. I wish the news media would have done more coverage of the victims instead of the Virginia shooter. It's not like he's so special - just another cookie cutter moron copycat pschopath much like his predecessors. The victims, however, were interesting people of different backgrounds, students. Pisses me off that this jerk's "manifestos" and photos get plastered all over the place, just like he wanted. Why don't they make note of the fact of how cowardly, sick, and unoriginal he was. Geez, sorry, I need more caffeine (or less). It's like we go the gamut of emotions over this stuff, shock, sadness, anger....you all take care, be happy but watch your backs Flipper

How come in the V Tech story no one mentions the murderer's parents or family? Did the kid have any?
Where the heck are they during all of this? -

Anewme, I heard on coast to coast radio show that his family owns a dry cleaners. they were theorizing on the possibility of exposure to those chemicals making people crazy. Ya never know. Flipper

Maybe so Flipper. Sad. Have you ever seen those immigrants who work in dry cleaners? THEY PRACTICALLY LIVE THERE!!!!! Immigrants have it very hard. Theirs can be a harsh life of all work and no play. And their children may suffer neglect and loneliness maybe. What values did that shooter's parents instill in him?
Or perhaps he was envious of the easier life he saw other children enjoy.
This is why it is important to value our own contribution to society's happiness and success. The way we live our lives, our kindness towards others may have a ripple effect outwards. The smile you give away to someone else may touch a heart and save a life ultimately down the road.
We should love one another and kindly help one another down the road of life. Even the pimply faced teenager and the unruly child needs a small smile of hope that helps them believe life will get better for them.
We can all be aunts and uncles and sisters and brothers, sons and daughters and mothers and fathers to everyone out there in the world and see the world of mankind as one big family to love and cherish
in the small amount of time we have to do it.

I saw a report that they read out last night on (I think) Larry King - he has a sister whose a Princeton grad and she was mortified. Apparently the kids mother and father went into hiding and are ashamed. The newspapers quote the grandparents as calling him an a$$hole - but I don't have a clue if thats true. I do feel for the parents of the young man - they didn't do anything but people will be looking into their life to see if they are responsible - and no doubt, as always, some will find them to be accountable. Too much coverage on the news though - sammieswife.

There was a lockdown at my kids school (elementary) and today for the entire district in Northern Illinois. The highschool by me reported some kid had written something on a wall about how the same things was going to be done here but even worse than in Virginia (I do not remember exact words), the highschool was actually closed today, all the other district schools were on lock down.
