Welcome!! I've thought about you from time to time. I remember your diet/exercise thread and your wedding....so glad to hear how you've been doing and your recent success.
Hello again, been a while...remember jwbot? Had a convo with my brother...

Bot, I am so happy to hear of your wonderous, splendorous success. You have my dream job, working for a magazine. I also dream of starting my own someday. What did you study in college exactly? What was your degree in.
Have fun with your brother. God how weird that would be, going to a district convention. Pizza Hut: that's funny.

Leolaia: I never did get married. We had so many problems. I left him 10 days before the wedding. That is about the time I stopped posting here. I had gone through a lot. I just focused my frustrations on art and my dog (won her in the custody battle...well he just got a new girlfriend so he did not need the dog anymore!). It had been almost two years and I have been able to move on. He had problems with me working and not being at home. He had issues with me going to my college classes! He was an ass. I have done so much better than him and better than what he wanted for me.
FlyingHighNow: It will be quite interesting to go to a district assembly. I am going to have fun with it I think, maybe think up a few games. No doubt I will be text messaging the whole time. haha.
Anyway I went to college for New Media design and got a bachelor of arts. I started out doing web design but got sick of it. Paper is static, I like that. And I have always held some what of a romantisized view of the magazine industry. So when I had a chance, I jumped at it and it turned out to be something I loved, was good at, and could do the rest of my life. :) -

Hey Formerly-JWBot! Don't I recall that you supported your sister, perhaps thru a DF'ing? How is she doing now?

Yeah I had supported my sister. She wants to get reinstated too...but her and I get along well, she is just depressed and lost :(
My other sister...She got DF'd even though she did not want to be. But she is happier now, and she wants nothing to do with the JW's.
It is still quite a mess though. -

Oh! I didn't realize that things didn't work out between the two of you. I went through a pretty heartbreaking breakup ten years ago, and it took me two years to get over it and move on. I also went to school after that, which helped a lot. Glad to see your success in your work, that you're doing something you enjoy. I'm in a bit of a career quandary myself at the moment, gotta figure out exactly which way I want to go (whether to go for a job in industry or a job in academia)....

One of the most destructive things to a JWs faith is to see happiness in somebody who left. Well, I'm just glad that you're happy, but you can probably relate to that smug feeling of being happier than the loser friends who still consider themselves superior to you, hey? To get through the afternoon session, I recommend early arrival at lunch so that you can show off to the people who you want to see, then when it gets really depressing during the talks, take a very long walk, and have something to read in your bag when you go. Get back to the seat as they're wrapping up with song and prayer. You might be surprised exactly how boring and depressing you find the talks these days, now that you don't dig it.
Good luck with your brother and sister in law!
