They are not fighting for freedom, they are fighting for control and servatude to a certain political ideology. They claim their form of government is the best and protects freedom. That is a lie and just a clique.

Democracy as commonly used is not rulership by the people just because they have been indoctrinated to vote for polotician A or B. I don't vote because I don't want A or B, and we all know it is only A or B, and that is it. The freedom that the government talks about is just a play on words and used to drum up support, and to preach our young into the battlefield and risk thier lives, making them feel it a duty and an honor to give up ones life for God and Country.

I foget who it was that said:"I reget that I have only one life to give up for my country" Who ever he was, he was most likely a indoctrinated short sighted fanatic IMO.

    True that, Grasshopper.

BA- "Democracy" = Plutocracy, these days.

PS- More like "Fighting to keep the value of the dollar worth something", as in, tie it's value to oil.

When the U.S leaves, the Iraqi's will find their New Hussein, their New Nebuchadnezzer, and things will go back to the way they have been for centuries.

Nathan Hale. Hung out (literally) with all those other short sighted fanatics: Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison, Patrick Henry ("Give me liberty or give me death"), John Hancock, etc Short sighted fanatics that pledged their lives, honor and forturnes (and a good number of them gave up lifes and/or fortunes) so they could create a country where people like you could sit around and bitch about how bad it is without worrying about getting strung up by your thumbs or something.

Winston Churchill put it best "Democracy is the worst form of government ever created, except for all the others."

I think it was Thomas Payne that said , government at best is a neccessary evil and at worst an intollerable tyranny. I do agree A and B are lousy choices so it really doesn't matter to me unless choice A or B wants to amend the second amendment in which case I will vote the other way. Politicians are all crooks so looking for integrity is a waste of time. They lie , cheat, murder and steal so I would rather just sit back and say I had nothing to do with it . I agree that the war on terror is just an excuse for them to get away with the afore mentioned.

You got that right! Its also based on Bush's ego and his chia pet, oops, I meant Cheney.

I'd rather see these religious fanatics revert to what they want which is what will happen if we leave now or 10 years from now. (As x JW's I think we know this lesson well)

Lets save some lives and limbs.

    r.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." [H. L. Mencken]

WOW. Doesn't that quote sound exactly like the Watchtower Society, too?
