  To the monitor(s) that Bethel assigns to watch websites such as this one:

  We all know that Bethel is especially going to be monitoring "apostate" websites, such as this one, in the light of their apparently massive settlements to ensure that their gag orders for the lawsuits are kept (if someone was going to break it, this is likely the first place they'd turn!)

  Later on today there will be press conferences disclosing that "some" settlements have been reached, for "some" amount of money. But this news will likely be met with a colossal yawn - without specific details, no major news agency is likely to show much interest. As we all know, JWs are a miniscule blip on the world's radar screen - no one much cares about them.

  But what if an "insider" were to leak some particularly interesting information? Like exactly how many lawsuits were settled? And the payout for each one? Was it really $3-4 million each?

  A headline of "Religious body pays out $60 million to 16 victims of child abuse" will be a heck of a lot more newsworthy than "20 pople gathered on some courthouse steps to give general information about some settlements, but we know no other details".

  Now is your chance to do good.

  There are thousands (yes thousands) of other victims out there. There are 20,000 + known perpetrators (how many unknown?), each likely with multiple victims.

  If news gets spread around that (1) The WTS is settling with victims of child abuse and (2) they are paying out millions, how many more victims will be enticed to come out and press charges?

  Imagine the effect that will have on WT policies! We can finally get some real, common-sense solutions to the grave problems still plaguing the organization.

  You guys, the Bethel monitors, must know something - or know someone who knows something! All it takes is one man with some solid information - and the courage to expose it - and the Society can be forced to do good! One man who is tired of seeing the Society "get away with" yet again another egregious injustice.

  You can help stop it! Think of the innocent kids - the thousands of lives ruined - they have already suffered, but we can work to stop it from repeating into the future!

  DO THE RIGHT THING - convince those with knowledge to blow the whistle!

  Contact the poster "Amazing". He was involved in a court case in which WT lawyers presented printouts of his postings from this site.

  Are you kidding? Of course they're interested in sites like this. Remember what happened to the owner site of Quotes? The Borg tried suing him for all the quotes he had posted on the internet from their own material, claiming it was "embarassing." The internet is the Society's biggest foe right now simply because they can't control it. And to any high control group like they are, they want to know exactly what's being said.

  I believe Mouthy was at a protest at the Canadian Bethel a couple of years ago when one of the heavies from inside came out. In the course of the conversation, he told her 'yes we know what you believe as we read it on the internet.'

  Please guys. If you've been assigned to monitor this site, you likely have served time on the Service Desk. You know the issues that congregations are facing on a local level. Sir's request has nothing to do with theology, simply trying to find a way to protect the kids in the congregation. I'm sure the legal department has been pushing for further reform and you probably know the whole story as to why it hasn't happened yet. Reform on this issue can take place, but someone has to stand up for it. And we all know that someone in the field won't be able to have the weight to make this happen.

  I don't believe for a second that you or anyone else thinks child molestation is ok. How can any sane person think so? This issue has plauged not only JWs but many other religious organizations as well. Its high time ALL religious organizations crack down harshly on such people. You have the opportunity to make JWs a model program.

  You know leaking this to the media will give enough pressure to add to the legal department's arguements. But, the staff attorney's would likely get disbarred if they were to leak the information. But, a carelessly placed file and a willing leaker is all that it takes. Every day that goes by is another day that some pedophile hurts an innocent child. Remember, "to whom much is given, much is expected".

  Imagine the effect that will have on WT policies! We can finally get some real, common-sense solutions to the grave problems still plaguing the organization.

  Including:

  1) Automatically reporting any allegation to the police. Mandatory reporting and not just telling the perp to turn himself in.

  2) NEVER allow a person even accused of child molestation to serve as an elder, ms or any other responsible position. If the allegations were made in the past, DELETE them now.

  3) Don't allow child molestators to go out in field service.

  4) Drop the 2 witness rule or at least allow the courts to serve as a witness if the perp is convicted.

  Please, for the sake of the kids.

  Well, this wouldn't count as "evidence" but in my opinion, even the JWs are not completely stupid. Anyone with half a brain would keep an eye on the activities of someone considered to be an enemy - and that is how "apostates" are viewed by JWs.
