Madame Quixote, the mother looks upset, very upset - but the father... perhaps he is a terminator type character who doesn't outwardly show emotions but I would like to know which one of these parents thought that leaving the doors unlocked and going out was a good idea. Hitchcock would have sorted this thing out already.

If they're both professional doctors, that means they're making a pretty good living. If they wanted to go out to restaurants etc. without the kids, why in gods name didn't they hire a nanny to look after the kids? Geezus......

Mary - I agree, and this is why I mentioned that those with greatly 'educated' professions - teachers being a prime example - lack so much common sense. You are not taught to think for yourself, you are taught to think how the last person thought who wrote the manuals and textbooks. This is why we have a saying in our household about teachers "Adult amongst children, but children amongst adults"

well I feel sorry for them...it would kill me to lose a wee one.......my cousin's wee one was killed by a paedophile 3 years ago....she let him out to play when he was 8 years old...and a paedophile got him...... http://news.scotsman.com/topics.cfm?tid=29&id=1316412004 was she wrong to let him out?

Damn Ninja I am sorry to hear of that. I dont think she was wrong at all to let him out, surely kids need to roam free sometime. 8 years of age, up and down the road on the bike perhaps - where did she allow him to go? Now allowing a 3 year old to be left alone in an unlocked apartment is a much different thing. Obviously the pain they must be feeling as parents right now must be terrible for them, but I just hope that if they do find her alive and well those parents are charged with neglect of a child. How utterly brainless.
