Petition: Tell Museums to Stop Hiding Watchtower's Past

Tell holocaust memorial museums all over the world they should stop hiding the truth about the Watchtower Society’s decades-long anti-Semitic/pro-Hitler stance.

While individual Jehovah’s Witnesses were suffering at the hands of the Nazis, its mother organization was outspokenly supporting Hitler and demeaning Jews.

Tell the museums to add the Watchtower Society’s own publications to their archives. Right now, some museums only include the Watchtower Society’s whitewashed version of its history. Museums should include both, and let its patrons decide for themselves what to believe.

Museums should preserve the facts so humanity doesn’t repeat its past mistakes.

"Knocking" is airing next week and is now getting positive publicity. The producer has gotten significant positive publicity for the wt by lauding them to the media (USA Today, etc.). Hopefully this will not result in new recruits for the cult.

The US Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC has refused to add older wt publications to its archives, while it currently includes 10 wt publications provided to them directly by the wts. The ones in their archives, of course, are recent articles that totally gloss over its anti-Jew/pro-Hitler history.

I have asked them to add the older publications so the public can decide for themselves what to believe. I've gotten no response.

Time to turn up the volume.

Once I get 50 signatures I will notify the Washington Post of this issue. Maybe it will get some media attention next week while the propaganda piece "Knocking" is airing.

I think they should also offer insight on the very origin of the Watchtower Society, exactly as it appeared in the first Watchtower magazines. Regardless of what it is, if people saw it, they might think twice before joining. They might also think twice if they saw the developments of the doctrines according to the original material side by side with the doctrines according to revised material.

The closest we have to a museum of the Watchtower is the site www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com . They have such a wide array of topics from the origins, to the developments of doctrines, to what is going on in the Governing Body, the writing of the New World Translation, and the current trends to become even more cultish. I highly recommend reading this site--it is like a Watchtower Museum online.

this is the problem with large worldwide organizations that are trying to unify their beliefs. they can't at certain times. the muscle of fascist hitler was obviously stronger then the WT in Germany and they got their way. the jw's gave in. but more importantly, think of the catholic germans that were being blessed to go to war against surrounding countries and their catholic brothers. each side's priest was blessing them before battle. gods' own against god's own? religion is really a big big problem, and the world needs to get rid of it soon, and start taking all their money and putting into larger telescopes so we can find some less brain dead people out there in the universe.

Historians and muesems are well aware of the letter written by WTS. This is even talked about in the extras section of the DVD by a historian and by a Jewish expert on the subject. A lot of people attempted to appease Nazi's and Hitler with zero results.

Try not to let your hate of JW's cloud your judgement so bad. You can disagree with their doctrine without hating them.
