Just ear marking the thread as I'm sure somebody will know the answer . I'm betting books that explain in detail that following the christ means obeying the WTBTS as they zip around in jehovahs chariot making one extraordinary manuever after another. This only leaves the "apostates" confused and proves they are right about being able to change direction at will , because they alone said it was .........

Welcome testigay, and please take no offense but who cares, it is a waste of trees, the only book that matters is the Bible. Imagine how much better we would breathe if we stopped cutting them down for senseless reading material that points to men instead of to Christ and God.

Hi testigay, and welcome
The "new" release is to be a book called "Come be my follower", which
it's probably fair to assume is supposed to be in line with the convention
theme. It won't be anything new if course, just old information recycled and repackaged.

Ah, yes! The "come" book. It's just filler between studying the Revelation book for the 4th and 5th time.

I find it so interesting that the Watchtower is using the theme: "Follow THE Christ." I mean, doesn't that sound odd??? Why don't they just say, "Follow CHRIST"??
Oh, gosh!! I forgot!! The Watchtower doesn't want any JWs following CHRIST!! If any JWs DID choose to start following Christ, there'd be a whole lotta disfellowshipping going on!!
The Watchtower has already put themselves in the place of Christ...beginning with way back in Rutherford's day. It is too bad, and so sad, that the average JW does not seem to "catch on" to what the theme is really saying...that the Watchtower, in a round about way, is THE Chirst to "follow." (And JWs still don't think that "mind control," and hypnosis is not being used on them??) Scary. Damn scary.

The "anointed class," who would number 144,000, were to be "resurrected" to heaven. These, together with Jesus would become The Christ, the Messiah or Savior for the world during the Millennium.

. How Shall the Earth Be Subdued?
A. By the gods from the PleiadesThe July 18, 1923 Golden Age contained a follow up article. The article basically took up where Granger left off. It discussed how the Earth would be "subdued" according to the Genesis command by those who have "dominion." Since in Bible Student theology, this referred to the 144,001 Christ class or god squad sent from the Pleiades, it would be fulfilled by them during the Golden Age or Millennium. They would then, as the Sun of Righteousness, restore the lost dominion to those who became perfect in the flesh during the New Age.

I love being a step ahead of the Borg.
Come be my follower. I'll bet it has that old hackneyed picture of jesus looking at the camera with his hand out like he want's you to grab it.
You know, they really should make a new reasoning book... The current one was made in the 80's and still has the out-of-date generation teaching in it.
Why haven't they made a new one yet?
Wait a sec, 'come be my follower' sounds an awfull lot like a book that they'll do at the bookstudy. They are currently doing the Revelation book and won't finish with that untill late next year. (After NEXT years convention) But they still haven't done the one on the minor prophets that came out last year, and now a new study book is coming out... and by the time the revelation book is done ANOTHER publication will have been released.
They sure are planning pretty far ahead when the end is so close.

With all this forced focus on (the) Christ, the Watchtower is in real danger of blanding-out the way 7th Day Adventists have. Lots of books with Jesus giving the surprised reader imploring looks. Yawn.
I think I preferred it when the Watchtower packed a punch and had vivid pictures of thunder and lightning ripping through skyscrapers tumbling to the earth with a conveniently placed priest to the side with a suitably horror-filled countenance. At least it didn't induce yawns.
