. I know I will survive this situation because all you are sending me your prayers and good thoughts. You are all wonderful and I thank God for all of you.
I was at the hospital a short while ago and Marco is still very weak and extremely tired. He looks so bad and has me so worried. I know he is in the right place for the help he needs. I managed to get the tv in the lounge so he could see the baseball game and he went to watch it. But he must have been not doing that great and a few minutes later he was in bed again. And as I was leaving his buddy he plays pool with showed up to visit with him. I was glad of t hat. He needed a visitor.
On Tuesday the Occupational therapist will make the final assessment before he has surgery. There are apparently many medical personal aside from the surgeon who will be involved in taking care of Marco, They are going to have us see a social worker who will determine what help we will need at home. She was informed that I am not able to tend to Marco's care so it appears that he may have to go into a nursing home for a while or in respite.
But that is something that is not so important at the moment. It is getting Marco stablized. Getting him to relax some of that anxiety he is suffering from. The doctor perscribed several breathing meds. for him last night. Perhaps that will help his cough. He is not eating very much and he doesn't like the food (who does) as he is not allowed any salt. Everything is so bland. I feel so terrible for him. Feeling helpless is an awful. Today at church he was remembered in prayers even though he is not an Anglican and doesn't attend any church.
So that is basically what is going on right now. I will keep you updated when I have a chance.
And once again I thank each and every one of you for you depth of love and kindness.
gratefully yours
