The inactive person *must* be engaging in sinful practices and is absence due to either guilty conscience or secret sin(s). There would be no other possible explanation for turning one's back on Jehovah, in their eyes.
Active witnesses fully believe this crap. Many inactive witnesses do, too - until the accusations are pointed at them.
