Interesting....that's kind of what happened in Jurassic Park. :)
Parthogenesis: How do creationists explain this?

Or could parthenogenesis give credence to the virgin birth of Jesus? I'm not trying to be flippant but I just don't see how this proves evolution.
gives credence to the theory that we are constantly evolving in order to achieve survival.
I've never understood why, or that, the process of evolution cares if we survive or not.
How simple it is to be a creationist. One doesnt need any facts, evidence, statistics, to evaluate anything
You seem to imply that Creationists have thrown science out the window; that science is an atheistic concept. Both Christians and Atheists use scienctific evidence to prove their views. Christians believe that God is behind science; that He created all things. Atheists don't believe that there is a God that created the universe. All this happened for no reason; it just happened.

Really good article Crumpet, I wish I'd picked the paper up on the bus now! I'll throw a spanner in here with a very ambiguous thought which will possibly result in me being flame-grilled on both sides! Darn I love this board for being able to air my more unconventional ideas which wouldn't go down too well in church!!
The creation theory is based upon a Divine Creator, who decreed procreation between the two sexes
Not necessarily. It was possibly only decreed for humans - the special emphasis of 'male and female' in the creation account and backed up throughout Scripture. The other land animals, flying animals and sea creatures were merely told 'be fruitful and multiply' in Genesis. So for them at least, the male-female system of reproduction might only have been the main system but not the solely decreed one.
Sad Emo - I love that you air all your wonderful ideas here too - and I say go for it more often with your own topics - could definitely help with your course.
If God didnt depend on the male female thingumy why does it say "male and female he created them". And why did the animals go in two by two into the ark? back at ya!

There were hammer-head sharks in the ark??? OMG!!!
Another amazing species is the cuckoo wrasse, where the dominant female will turn into a male if there's no male around to fertilise the shoal.

Where did you think the "Ham" story came from? LOL!
Seriously though towards the end of the article it mentions other species this process is already existent in. I just never knew it was possible. Like Sirona said I knew there was an asexual - or I would call it - an hermaphrodite process and also the ability for instance in male seahorses to take on the pregnancy, but the fact that creatures do not need to reproduce at all with the opposite sex was news to me.
I'm working on a virgin birth myself now!

All this happened for no reason; it just happened.
In your second statement, above, you answered your own question. What survived continued to exist, what didn't went extinct. It's as simple as that. As was previously stated, 99% of the species that ever existed are extinct. And, that was almost all without the help of humans. That fits w evolutionary theory. However, how does it fit w a presumed creator?

ROFL
I hear the best way to have a Virgin birth is to have sex with someone then blot it out from your memory.... and voila! you can deny all knowledge of what happened. I think Mary did something similar, it was very convenient of her to suggest to her betrothed that it was GOD who impregnated her.
"Hey Mary, we haven't had sex yet but I see your belly is growing....you didn't have sex with another man did you?"
"Erm....no.....erm well you see.......I...... well no so....it must have been God. Its a miracle!"
