My fantasy full-contact, no-holds-barred debate team:
In this corner, for the "apostates," Johnny Cip and Rick Fearon
In this corner, for the WTB&TS, all the Nancy-Boy WT lawyers.
Are you ready? Are you ready?
LET'S GET IT ON!

"Amazing how they try to cover up!!"
Okay I must have missed the attempt to cover up anything
All I heard was someone stating that he could not comment on the subject.

Beep Beep, why do you think the person on the phone could not comment on the subject? Why wouldn't the legal dept make a comment? Either the news paper is making up the story or their not. Who directed them to make a no comment response and why? Does'nt the Watchtower make comments when the Catholic Church settles it's child sex abuse cases. Yet when it comes to their own child sex abuse cases it's no comment, why is that? Why not come clean? They announce to the whole congregation when they DF someone, why not themselves?
Not commenting on this is a form of cover up! The less the public and rank and file learn about this the better for the Watchtower.

He was being evasive and obstructive about the issue though appearing to be polite and helpful and didn't really want to clarify anything. Perhaps if Fearon hadn't revealed that he was an ex dub they would be more forthcoming, they see all ex dubs as enemies out to get them.

Here's a Nashville newscast on the subject, watch the elder at the Kingdum Hall. Is obstructive a word? This is amazing, the general public absolutely cannot come away with any other message than what a destructive cult this is.

"why do you think the person on the phone could not comment on the subject? "
Well I could think of several reasons, such as he's not qualified to respond or that there is someone who is assigned the responsibility to respond to such questions.
Sort of like asking an attorney's assistant to comment on a case.
Was anyone troubled by the facts that A. The telephone, on speaker, made no sound as the number was dialed?
I have a Speakerphone. The tones come through when you dial loud and clear when dialing.B. That the other party was NEVER notified that the phone call was being recorded? I believe this just may be illegal and is certainly unethical
What's to prevent people from drawing the conclusion that this was all faked? I mean he didn't even give the phone number as he dialed to verify. I question the whole thing.
