Scully:
You are so very welcome Scully! I am glad that this book will get into the hands of someone who knows the deep medical details. Nevada and I are not to good when it comes to long medical terms and definitions. With your medical knowledge you will be able to take it apart piece-by-piece!
Thanks Scully!

What makes this book "remarkable" is the outdated medical section. The most actual references to medical literature are dated in 1991, that is 16 years ago, which really is prehistorical as far as medical science is concerned. Doctors want research results from today and tomorrow, not from archeological times. One may wonder if this book is the latest edition.
Next, only medical literature has been selected that is in support of the Society's position. I doubt very much that many in the medical profession will give this work a prominent position on their bookshelf.
The Family Care book was, ultimately, abandoned by the WTS in favor of a battery of fliers, pamphlets and brochures targeting different needs.
In August of 2001 the WTS introduced a 14 page brochure titled:
Clinical Strategies for Avoiding and Controlling Hemorrhage and Anemia without Blood Transfusion in Surgical Patients
This brochure catalogues 577 medical references according to patient presentation.
In October 2004 the WTS introduced a 16 page brochure titled:
Clinical Strategies for Managing Hemorrhage and Anemia without Blood Transfusion in Critically Ill Patients
This brochure catalogues 512 medical references according to patient presentation.
In February 2004 the WTS introduced a 4 page flier titled:
Jehovah’s Witnesses—Religious and Ethical Position on Medical Therapy, Child Care, and Related Matters
This flier contains position statements on various issues. Subjects in include abortion, blood, adoption etc.
The WTS has also introduced various marketing brochures designed to open dialogue with medical establishments, providers, social workers et al.
Getting back to the Family Care book, it was introduced with the idea of updating it with additional (or replacement) page leafs. It was published strictly in loose leaf captured in a three ring binder. It was never updated. It was just too impractical to think medical providers would take time to clip new pages in an aging publication. It was considered more efficient to provide completely new publications, which is found mainly in the brochures cited above. This also provided a vehicle for HLC members to maintain contact with hospital administrators, doctors, etc.
None of these publications were/are made available to Jehovah’s Witnesses in general.

I recently completed a study, available at http://au.geocities.com/doug_mason1940/Loyalty_Test.pdf
It will be interesting to read the WTS's "secret" book and see what changes I need to make. Any comments and advice will be most welcome.
Many thanks!
Doug
Coolness...thanks for the info. I'm adding it to my collection.
Does anyone know how to get ahold of the Pay Attention to the Flock book? I know I downloaded it once, but can't find it on my PC anymore.
erandir:
Here is the "Pay Attention to All The Flock" book with notes that was posted by "Elsewhere" some time back.
