Those of you that are Elders and MS on the fade, I want to know how you personally keep up the facade? Do you find it difficult to give meeting parts, comments, "setting the example" in the field ministry? Im a MS and when I give parts I do my best not to mention the "faithful and discreet slave". I always try to emphasize the Bible and it's reading. I rarely ever mention reading the publications anymore, just strong Bible study. I'm a pioneer also, but about to quit. I just can't bring myself to putting that much effort into the door to door magazine distribution anymore. How about you?

I was an elder for almost two years after I knew the "truth" wasn't the truth.
I tried to hang in there. It simply became impossible. I had to resign and walk away.
I wish you all the best in your exit from the cult.
BTW, welcome to JWD R.F.

I have a friend who is still an elder(as a matter of fact they just made him talk co-ordinator) the way he keeps up the facade and challenges himself is by not study for any of the parts or his talks. Every talk he gives is freestyle by the seat of his pants.
This gives him a rush, to be free and unfettered to WT dogma. -

I used to be a MS, giving some sunday talks and, after I moved to another part of the country, I made it clear through my attitude (nodding down at meetings is very telling) that I did'nt reach for a new appointment. Lately I told an elder that I wasn't too sure about the veracity of what I would tell from the platform, so I was written off altogether from the theocratic school. The next stage is that I keep silent at meeting and hardly go preaching, 1 hour a month in order to mischievously lower the average of the congregation... That being said, I start thinking that a clear cut DFing or DAing is more satisfying. Some can make that sort of decision faster than others, depending particularly on family factors.

Being female I've never been in your position but I was at a meeting when a brother was trying to give his talk and just stood there saying nothing for what seemed like a long time, then just walked off the stage and out the door! He was DF'd the next week! Just don't let it get that far gone that this happens to you! SQ Calif.

Good for you for staying clear of the FDS and sticking with the bible!
