When asked by the JWs, "You say you still love Jehovah, yet you don't go to meetings any longer"..I have replied, "Well the scriptures say where there are two or more gathered in my name there I will be also". Then they throw the famous line..."Well what about preaching? It is a command from Jesus! Your not preaching the good news!" Then you could mention Galations where it is quoted in Rockhounds post and not adding to the scriptures, and then quote the society where they admit adding to and changing the good news from what it was when Jesus was on earth. Wouldn't that blow them away! Thanks Pappa for posting such helpful information!

I love that one. Why do they always assume each individual Christian has a personal commission to preach? Jesus was talking to a large group of people there. Here's a recent topic I posted about this.. -

I felt they added to the good news by insisting the paradise earth was all the great crowd would get when in fact the good news was about the kingdom of the heavens and the messianic fullfillment of prophesy . The ancient jews had the hope of paradise earth not the first century christians or the great crowd as seen in revelation 7 . The great crowd escape the tribulation by entering the kingdom of the heavens.IMO
