To be fair I thought I would start with some of my favorites from other than Cuban sources. Damn American trade policy! You can do business with China and Kadafi but Cuba is still off limits? Such a shame!
Anyway, try this Dominican offering on for size if you are into sweet chewy maduro leaf cigars!
Ashton Maduro I buy the #20's by the box!
OK, now back to Cuba.....here is one worth smoking while rolling around a glass of Single Malt Scotch!!
La Trinidad
"Put that in your book!"

Well said. They're crap without it, and only buy from a store with a good one!
Oh, and keep yours running well and plenty moist. A humidor without humidity is a big waste of effort....and money, ask William Shatner!

Odrade
Hmmm. let's see what's in my tiny humi right now: Cohiba pequeno, my fav short affordable smoke, Punch Gran Puro, Sancho Panza (yum,) Arturo Fuente Exquisitos, and a little cuban maduro sampler that my friendly neighborhood cigar guy said I'd probably like. Problem is, I can't indulge too much because the odor lingers on my hands for a couple of days. In view of my line of work, that's a huge no-no. :(

I sometimes have to look at the wrapper (which I save) so I know what I have smoked.
I also save my notes on my Palm Treo PDA.
I think it is cute with all the kids jumping around for a cigar in their label. Oh well a long forgotten and past time I suppose!
Hand made Nicaraguan. The Sterling "cristal" Churchill came in a glass tube, very elegant. But a bit big for my liking.
It went great with two (or three) fingers of Talisker a nice island single malt.
Smoke was abundant, sweet and smooth. I like to draw down to the label or beyond. After a long smoke like this one, you need to be careful how far you go. This one left a mild aftertaste in my throat. Not what I like.
At $40 a pop I think next time I will try the robusto!
Cheers!

Great smoke, but I'm a newbie to the cigar thing, so this thread is actually quite useful to me.

Keep watching and putting this BTT if needed. We'll tell you all we can for stunted XJW's.
I spent my last few years in the DR. So you may find I favor a Dominican smoke. One classy Stogy is the La Aurora Preferido. That's the type Spiderman's J. Jonah Jameson, Daily Bugle editor smoked in the cartoon.
All of them are nice but again I like the aromatic Maduro leaf. And you know what? That preferido is just the right size sometimes!
Along with the perfect partner of course.....Scotch!
