Leave it alone guys......enough is enough.
Enough apathy, you mean? Five years and counting - you're absolutely right. Enough is enough. How many died this week? Or are you too busy leaving it alone?

I have to say this is spot on! Great letter Six! He had some things to say and is not afraid to say it. On a saddened not... he probably has had far too much and MUST say it.

I do what I can, as I said. Especially in this dept: "...You fire the coaches and/or players responsible..."

So who have you fired? I ask you for examples, and you post a letter. A letter that has nothing to do with whatever YOU have or have not done.

The real reason you posted that letter is to DEFLECT my question.

    dawg,

My point is this: Neither party is for "the people". Both are for themselves and which ever way they can make money for their "real" constituents they will do it, even if it means sacrificing the lives of the young people in this county. By war, by peace by any which way they can.

As long as this war makes a lot of money, for a lot of people, the Dems won't end it, they will add to it.

Six, You conveniently forgot to post my thoughts on BOTH political parties. I guess you still have some JW left in you. WARlock

I have no doubt that intelligent people see both the context and relevance of the blog I posted, Warlock. As for what I have done personally, I vote, I support candidates, I criticize and applaud when due, I spread information, and I make sure not to let rightwingers, neocons, faux conservatives, and just everyday dumb-asses bullshit and bully the rest of us anymore.

One specific campaign I supported comes to mind in this context; Jim Webb working to unseat Jim Allen as the Senator from Virginia. I'd urge anyone to read the biographies of those two men and tell me which one is more likely to use his office, intellect, power, and political affiliation to support the troops (in meaningful ways).

And they feel the same way about you.

And you supported the campaign how? From an air-conditioned office?

Have you ever been out, protesting with the common people, having people call you names and even assaulting you?

Not for conservative causes, but for LIBERAL causes?

I have, more than once, when I was a TEENAGER.

Try that, if you have the guts.

Wow. That was one powerful "letter". Did you even read it, Warlock?

Yes I read it. Do you want me to find one with the opposing opinion?

When you join, since there is no draft, you know what you are getting into, or at least you should.

By the way, I tried to join the military, but was rejected for some physical problems that I had, and still have. Can you or Six say the same thing? I doubt it.

I volunteered knowing very well I could be sent to Vietnam, an unpopular war.

My point is you don't know SHIT about me.

There is more, but why don't you go smoke a joint.

    Hemp Lover and Sparkplug,

Chew on this when you want to overly dramatize the war, let's compare your 5 years comment to these battles that took place over just periods of days: Some numbers on American deaths in battles below--

    The Wilderness, May 5-7:17,666
    Spotsylvania, May 10 and 12:10,920
    Drewry's Bluff, May 12-164,160
    Cold Harbor, June 1-3:12,000
    Petersburg, June 15-30

    16,569

My point was for everyone to stop the arguing in these posts.

Consider about 600,000 or more American lives were lost in 4 years during the American Civil War.
