Ozzie:
"Seems you're "one of us" !".
I was born in Australia, and lived in Sydney till the age of 6. My father (Maltese orign) was in the same congregation with Bob. Then, in 1974, we emigrated to Malta to help 'where the need is great'.
Do you know the family of Joe Pace (wife Connie, son Frank, daughter Joanne)?
The Presiding Overseer was John ?(also Maltese origin). He was causing trouble and minding everybodys busness. I think he was disfellowshipped.

Prisca asked:
Is Bob Fowler any relation to Jeff Fowler? My dad used to know Jeff I think....
Don't think so. Jeff was our CO when I was baptised and he was our CO when I left!!!!

G'day BJ and the rest of you ozzie cousins,
These details are getting a little too close for comfort...(G'day you Brooklyn monitors!!)..
Geoff (note the spelling) Fowler and his wife Dot retired from DO work several years ago for health reasons. They are currently in the Blacktown area where ill health dogs Dot. Geoff is no relation to Bob Fowler. Good heavens, Geoff was a nice sensible man. We had pleasant dealings. As for Bob, well, see my earlier comments. I don't like people with pre-occupations wielding the authority that the F&DS gives them as part of the elder class. Pre-occupied? Yes, how else do you explain away the Wedding Service talk with all its sexual references, and with young children present. Weddings are a holy institution and are a time to praise God and the love that the couple share. For someone who claims to be a man of God to start discussing in a wedding talk the sexual exploits on the wedding night etc is a demonstration of how far the WTS is from Christianity . How much better it is to witness a non-Witness wedding.
Re the enquiry of Joe and Connie etc, would you e-mail me.
Cheers,
Ozzie
