Look into my post history. You can do what I did. It felt great.

This is what I did with mine:

Watchtower and loose magazines: These saw the business end of my shredder. The confetti was put into plastic bags and put in the recycling bins. And what a pile! It took about a month to shred every last one of those things, and they still occasionally turn up! They are as sneaky as the Christmas decorations I had to throw away for the Tower. If it's just one or two, just put your favorite apostate Web site address prominently on the front and back, and place in the recycling bin. That way, if an unwary person picks it up, they might go to the web site and learn the real truth.

Large books: OK, you cannot readily shred these unless you have a super heavy duty shredder. What I did with mine was to put them in grocery bags, two bounds per bag and double bag them with one bag upside down from the other. These packages got put into larger garbage bags, and these were put in the dumpster. The night I did that, it was raining out and they had to have gotten soaking wet. I also tried to put them in the bottom center of the dumpster so they would get filthy and disgusting for anyone who might find them. If this is not an option (like you live where trash is picked up curbside), then just put them in a garbage bin as described above. Pour water, preferably dirty water, on them before sealing them. That ought to ruin them.

Small quantities of bounds: If you have only one or two books, you might just place them in the garbage where someone can read them. Just remember to put your favorite apostate Web site prominently where the reader is likely to see them, so they will go to that site. That way, gullible people will not be likely to stumble into the cult.

If the books are older than about 25 or 30 years old, then you might want to find out if one of the apostate Web site owners has use for them. You can also hold onto them as a reference for when the next flipflop comes. This is recommended only for originals, since the reprints have the alterations already put in them. Original books from before 1975, as well as original Watchtower magazines from the 1967-75 era, are of prime value to those running apostate Web sites. Sell these on eBay, since those apostates are more interested in them for scanning onto their sites than the public is to study from.

If anyone wants to donate them to a non-profit organization and get a letter for tax-deduction, we will take them. Just contact me at [email protected].

I don't think you should burn them, it's not like if you don't burn them you're going door to door and entice people to the WT.

Especially the books from the 50's,,,somebody just posted somequotes that I had never seen from a book ofthat decade..

where would we be if the books that are needed as source material to quote and prove was printed by the WT, got burned????

I don't personally own any WT publications, but I would be interested to look through them and see if it says anything. I don't think a former member should burn their books if they are rarer!
