They will announce that SO and SO is no longer ( Fill in the blank )....................and the rank and file won't know what to think happened to you. Other than that, good for you! The letter with questions is short enough and I like the fact that you did not do the research for them.

Thanks, everyone for your replies and wishes of luck. I don't regret this decision one bit. I guess it's a little too early in the week to celebrate though...

Never too early to celebrate Freedom from lies! I would drink one with you anytime, my friend! Jeff

Oh I don't know..... it's an "out-of-the-ordinary" letter... kind of like a professional advertising piece, the kind that makes you think. I believe there's a good chance of some "googling" of your questions.... (hehe)

    Nice letter....

To be honest, the elders probably didn't even get half way through that.

Soon as they saw what it was about, perhaps the first sentence, chances are they threw it away since it was " apostate material".

Bunch of losers they are. lol

As many have said, I don't think the elders will get past the part of you saying you don't want to be a JW, but again....who knows..............

Or you could try this one.....

No thank you folks, do to my honesty and personal integrity I rather not serve and support a obviously corrupt and hypocritical corporation as the WTS.

I've born witness to the personal damage it causes individuals and testified to the false prophesying business for what it is structured on. Now that I'm free of it's

manipulative slavery I can say with certain I will never again be a slave to such blatant corruption. I've cast down the disgusting thing, so now my mind is clear,

my soul is full of purity and honesty, ......... my heart is happy again !

The truth has set me free.......won't you please give the truth a chance it might help you too ?

    Best regards...... agape love

I think that's a very good letter, short and to the point in a polite way. What i wrote in mine was simply that i no longer wanted to be one of jws, but thanked them for past support in matters and mentioned that i could not support the blood doctrine but there were ones i would always remain fond of, (i'm such a liar!lol) I didn't go into any other matters of doctrine although my husband wanted me to meet them and talk about it all, as i knew they would not listen and call me apostate so didn't see the point. Good luck, i needed to write and try to close that particular chapter of my life too, its not easy afterwards but i would send my letter again tomorrow, it was the best thing i could do for my family.
