California, always California. Yes, I know it isn't a country, but it's big enough to be one. so many beautiful places in California, lovely lovely scenery, mountains, beaches, deserts. However, that's where I grew up. I went to the People's Republic of China four times, loved visiting each time, but wouldn't want to live under that government. Went to Tahiti a couple of times - loved Moorea. Mexico, too close, too familiar, been there too many times for it to be interesting any more.

    5go,

I haven't been to that many countries, I see you live in Switzerland?? I live in America, so I'm a bit at a disadvantage, since I don't have such a mixture of cultures as close as say, the next state. It's America not a different country.

I've been to France (Paris) It's pretty awesome, been to Germany (Berlin) loved that (went there to see Radiohead) Also been to Spain (San Sebastian) Also went THERE to see Radiohead.

I think Japan is awesome, my brother has been there three times....I would bet that Italy will be one of my favourite countries, as it is so rich in Art and History. I would love to see Egypt. I could tell you the countries that I am interested in...all of them! And all the languages too.

I love German, do you speak Swabisch? <don't have that umlaut for the 'a'?
