Magdalenefan, you didnt just try to teach us something far different from JW's, you have completely changed something that the majority of christianity have believed for 2000+ years.
While you may no longer be a JW, you still carry one of their traits with you---the contempt for traditional christianity.
So what's next on your agenda? Perhaps a new bible translation to cover up all those "clobber scriptures" used by Christendom? Oh wait the NWT has already taken care of that.
Jesus was not a carpenter, Let's end the lies! He was a stone mason

Mary:
Well, I'm gonna surprise Kid-A with a trip out west to see this. I'm sure once he views these uh, "English scrolls" that can be absolutely traced back to Adam and Eve, he'll become a believer.
A believer in what? Adam and Eve, or the British monarchy?

Hmmmm......I think I'll try Adam and Eve first........easier on the eyes than Charles and Camilla.

From some of the posts I have read here thru the years, it seems some have the idea that the Watchtower org. wrote the Bible. If that was true, how does one explain all the Biblical scholars who teach at many universities throughout the world?????
Translating the Bible into any language is a tricky task, however, since the New Testament was mostly written in Greek, why wouldn't anyone accept the Greek word for carpenter to mean carpenter?
And besides, in The Passion of the Christ, when Jesus was a young teen, there were some very believable scenes of him working with his foster father, Joseph, doing wood working.

I can not think of anything more beautiful than for Jesus to have actually been at the Temple re modeling site, rather than working at his home, or somewhere else.
And here lies the reason for your newfound belief that Jesus worked with stone.
I also heard he was gay from other conspiracy fanatics.
Mary hit the nail on the head in saying he shinned nutsacks and was a tanner

Scully, grow up. If somebody wants to make a thread about their opinion on something, just let them without coming across so judgmental. So what if they are trying to make a Masonic connection?

Apparently you are unclear on the concept of sarcasm. Here's a little smiley to help you along:
If you "needproof" why can't the rest of us expect it too?
A little hypersensitive, aren't you?

LOL! I was actually going to write that-----but it seemed a wee bit sacreligious and I didn't want to offend my new brethren of the Faith Kid-A.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you had to resort to sarcasm. They do say it is the lowest form of wit, and I have never engaged in a battle of wit with an unarmed person so I won't start now. I'll leave you to play with your smileys.
