How to fix the organization.
Just like the Iran-Contra scandal! BLAME IT ON THE DEAD GUY!
This is a perfect opportunity to come clean and reform the
organization - Barry and others are deceased - perhaps a few
others could be forcibly retired. You could blame them for
the whole legal/social/political mess that's been created.

They won't do that. Remember that since Rutherford died, they've really tried to keep the leadership as a whole out of the spotlight. Yes, they get flown around the world and applauded at conventions, but you don't often see Governing Body members personally being cited in the literature as examples, whether positive or negative.
In order, they are most likely to 1) ignore it as long as they possibly can 2) blame "slander and lies" from "apostates and opposers" 3) recommend more Bible reading, field service and meeting attendance and less Internet, TV and newspapers.

If they didn't blame Franz for 1975, they're sure not going to blame anyone for the UN. At least, not anyone they like.
BTW, wasn't Lloyd Barry according to Ray Franz the one on the GB to withdraw his vote to make civil service okay so that the necessary majority was not reached?

It's ironic that the one who refused to "compromise" neutrality by allowing civil service was the one who signed the association with the UN...
If I remember correctly (I lend CoC to my father and he gave it to a friend :-)) Barry said he withdrew because of a typo in the quoted Scriptures. I think he just realized there was going to be a change because of the two third majority. I withdrew his vote, there was still a majority but it was not enough to get a change. In 1996 there were new GB members and some former ones were dead (or DFed!) so that Barry's view did not matter - if he did not change his opinion.
Maybe he read CoC. ;-)

You forgot one thing my friend,
The NGO must update the DPI on an ANNUAL BASIS to stay acredited.
Hoeffel confirmed a few days ago to me (via the phone) that WTS was keeping the DPI informed by providing magazines & other works to DPI (that includes this year).
Do you think they want to try me???
The WTS had their "spin" (ie. its just getting literature from UN) but they let it go by quiting DPI and even more embarassing allowing DPI to "DISASSOCIATE" the WTS. Stupid from an optic point of view.
Their only spin I can see them now using is "silence".
