EVERYONE------ MEET ROCCO. He's FinallyFree's (W) cockatiel. He loves pizza and lasagna. Yes, normally cockatiels don't have blue feathers, but today Rocco was a naughty boy. He tore up his toy and left it in his water dish and well..... you guessed the rest of the story.

Rocco loves W, and for W Rocco is the light of his life.

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS for a JWD mascot?? I think Rocco is pretty darn cute.

    AWWW, he's cute.

One time my mom took us to the pet store and we ended up with a bird, don't rember the name. All I remember is once we got it home, he started talking!!! We were shocked, owner didn't tell us he could talk.

When dad walked in the room the bird said, "hey blackie, were ya goin?" , squak and tilted his head to the side!!! (my dad is dark skinned) Needless to say the bird went back to the store immediately!!!

    does rocco talk???

Well Scully he isn't around much these days cause he's very busy, but we could keep him and perhaps perch Rocco on his shoulder. Uncle loves animals so I don't think he'd mind...

I have a PM into W to see if Rocco talks. We just have to be patient.........

Does Rocco talk? He sometimes imitates the beeping of the microwave. Once, when he was screaming really loud, I went over and asked him what the fuss was about. He grabbed my finger with his foot, tilted his head sideways, and said very softly, "You're a GOOD bird!" He's never said it since then. Maybe I've been bad.

Rayzorblade, who used to post here, says it sounds like Rocco is trying to imitate my speech, but it's not clear enough to understand. (or maybe he's imitating my incoherence)

He loves my homemade food. In addition to pizza and lasagna, he also gets into my stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, and split pea soup. He'll take it from my plate, spoon, or hand, but would much rather force his beak into my mouth to take whatever I'm chewing.

Here he is, waiting very patiently as I cook dinner.
