There is so much about early cultural/human migrations that are murky. The hindu culture has been the origin of much tech and culture in european and oriental land masses. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the jewish yhwh god originated from there.

Everyone with a brain knows Jehovah is Jamaican. They are the most interesting people walking this earth.
Should we rely on a book or legend, or are they both the same? When you hear something from your ancestors and write it down, it's still legend. I think the bible is also legend form someone's hearing it from someone else or someone claiming it happened to them and writing about it.
Recently I've heard so many different tales of what some of my grandkids supposedly did that don't agree, that I wonder if the bible wasn't sort of like that.

If the Biblical account about there being one language at one time is true it will be hard to tell where the name Yahveh originated it could have been common to all mankind but subsequently best preserved by Semites such as the Hebrews. I suppose the name existed even in Noah's days.
An inscription found on pottery from an excavation in northern Sinai makes mention of a blessing "by Yahweh of Samaria and his asherah."
What the significance of this is is difficult to ascertain.
...Jehovah wears a Turbin???..Sure..Why not?..Makes about as much sense as every other theory I`ve heard..LOL!!.....So,what colour is the Turbin?..Only true believers will know what colour Gods Turbin is!..LOL!!...OUTLAW

Technicolor, just like Joseph's coat.
badboy....I looked at the site and it is typical "fringe" stuff. I could go into a detailed explanation of why this site should not be worth your bother, but it is such a lovely Sunday afternoon. :) I will just say that the arguments linking Yahweh with the Indo-European word for "god" are not very credible and the main claim against a straightforward Semitic etymology (it "explains only one of phonemes of name Jehovah") is false.
