A Watchtower Statistic I Like

The Watchtower has been sowing the seeds of its own fiscal demise from the beginning. Now that new recruits are almost exclusively coming from the underdeveloped world, the picture looks bleak. When I was a JW I was too poor to contribute much, so I'm not as angry as some who threw large sums at them.

Here's to their experiencing the poverty they asked all of us to endure,

And this is why I don't understand why the WTS is so against higher education.

The more people you get in less educated or the more they influence to skip college and pioneer, the less the incomes of the JW populace become. I know they are afraid of their members getting educating and it backfiring on the org, but it seems that people are getting smart either way.

Some fluctuation? You mean stagnation in countries that provide the dominant share of donations

( Europe, Australia, Japan - and partly, the US) while Third World growth continues?

The World-wide Preaching Work ™ can get real expensive... when you allow pedophiles to rape children under protection of the Bible's 2 witness rule.

After a year with the JWs I also stopped donating anything to the org, it was pointless since I began to see them as an elaborate deception.

Are expenses catching up with them? It would be good if it were true but my opinion is that we can't be really sure because we don't exactly know what sort of expenses were made during those two periods, we don't know the breakdown what they gave on missionaries, special pioneers, bethels etc. Perhaps they had a lot of construction work done at various Bethels in the second period.

The thing with all WTS accounts is that we can never be sure what goes on since they are very secretive about them.
