That was on my birthday about a year after I had left the borg and married my worldly wife.

Thanks for posting this. I'd never heard the whole lecture before.

Has anyone ever made a transcript of the entire speech? Some of the stuff at the hour mark is very pointed about there not being time for seeking a career in this world. Brings back many memories. I was at Brooklyn Bethel then and had given up going to college myself. Now, 32 years later I plan on starting my first college classes this summer.

Just want to make the link clickable:

For those who doubt that the Society actually bears responsiblity for the build up around 1975...just listen to this.

cabisalis, please expand on this. I downloaded this from a place which asserts this talk as proof the Society did not promote the year 1975 as the end of this system.

Thank you for making it clickable. I hope to share more in the future.

Technically speaking...Franz was backpedaling from 1975 in this talk. He said that 6000 years of time since Adam's creation would end on Sept. 5th 1975 but since there was an unknown amount of time between Adam's creation and Eve's, that same amount of time would have to transpire before the end came.

However, he was quite clear that there was not enough time to get married, have kids, raise a family or go to college, get a degree and and secure a good paying job.

He also said that the great tribulation, the destruction of Bablyon the Great and the start of the destruction of the political systems could begin in the period of time before the end of 1975, but the actual end would come a little later.

This talk was full of doubletalk. "We're not saying...we're only saying..."

Listening to a good chunk of this almost gave me an anxiety attack. I'm still a little shaky. To believe that I sat and accepted this bullshit as "truth" at one time just boggles my mind. This talk and others like it are good indications that this is a cult and not just a harmless little off-beat religious sect.

    Thank you Undercover.

In addition to your comments, I'd like to add the fact that Franz still links the 6,000th year of the six creative day with the end of this system. He just doesn't know when that will happen as the time between the creation of Adam, his naming the animals, and Eve is not specified in the Bible. Why is this important? It shows that 1975 *was* seen as the end of this system before this contingency plan about Eve is mentioned.

Shame on Franz for telling people to not raise a family or go to college while the Society continues to acquire property and wealth.

Anyone else think that Freddie's voice indicates his underwear was maybe a bit too tight? He sounds like a nasally little twirp....What I found interesting is that near the end of that totally boring speech, he actually had the balls to say "...Let us not make unwarranted predictions and be found to be False Prophets."

Well duuuuuh.........since Uncle Freddie had made all kinds of "unwarranted predictions" before this stupid talk, does that mean he was admitting to being a False Prophet and therefore, worthy of death?

    What an asshole he was.

Do you know if anyone has a recording of the talk at which the "Then is Finished the Mystery of God" book was released? That talk was given in 1969 at the International Assemblies. I heard F. Franz in Atlanta, GA. Unless my memory is failing, FF mentioned 1975 in THAT talk also.

Who would've thought that "the woman, the female, Eve" would turn out so important, huh??
