Have You Ever Gotten "Payback" From The Elders or Others In The Hall?

Some congregations have their own little cliques and if you try to get into them, you're gonna be rebuked. If you've ever tried to "tell on" an elder or rather "prominent" person in the Hall, it can be Hell to pay in return.

Have you ever been on the other end? They say "payback is a bitch". Well????

Kind of... My JC was composed of two out of three elders who disliked me. The first one had consumed enough alcohol at my home to be rather inebriated and he was going to drive his five year old nephew home. I took his keys and firmly told him (in front of other JWs) that he was not going to be driving any child anywhere in his current state and I would take the child home. Same elder - camping trip - I wanted to do the WT study and he ridiculed me loudly. Therefore, he didn't like me much. Second elder - I caught being overly intimate with another elder's wife and called him on it. I didn't report him or anything, but he was embarassed. It took those two all of 15 seconds to df me, they couldn't wait. The third elder didn't want to do it. Paybacks it was. And I thank them.... I learned the truth finally (from the return visit that the first elder took me on).

As I said in another thread:

Yes, I reported an elder (service overseer) and a MS for their drinking habits. They were drinking in their vehicles while driving, getting drunk in bars, including strip bars. They were drinking in parking lots behind plazas, parks, and in the street during a non-alcohol "get together" at a sister's house. My report had credibility with the elders because I named myself as a participant. I did it deliberately, and don't regret it at all. I did it because I had been persecuted my the elder body for so many years for stupid things like having a moustache, bright ties, and tinted prescription glasses. It was time for a little payback, and at that point I really didn't care if I got df'd or not. Unfortunately, a JC never took place, probably because the service overseer was also the PO's son. But he and the MS sure got a good reaming out.

I suffered no reprecussions at all. By that time I had been a JW for 12 years, and putting up with all kinds of shit the entire time. I had no title and no chance of ever getting one. I didn't care if I was df'd. In short, I had nothing to lose.

The elder was in a very prominent family, himself being a service overseer. His father was PO as well as city overseer. His uncle was a CO. The MS was the same guy who had stiffed me for over $3,000 just when I was injured and unable to work. He was also going to my customers and undercutting my prices while I was incapacitated. I ended up losing my home. Interestingly, he was stupid enough to give me a job a year later. In the 3 months I worked for him he somehow lost over $70,000 a year worth of business. His wife had to take over what was left of his business, and he narrowly escaped prosecution for tax evasion. Coincidence? Yeah, payback's a bitch. The lesson he should have learned, but didn't: Never fuck with someone who has nothing to lose.

Personally I haven't, but I have seen with my own eyes how they tried to "pay" others back.

It has been my observation that elders can get very UGLY, aggressive and spiteful when accusations are made against their children. It doesn't matter whether the children are good or lousy JWs. You had to see how these elders would behave against any person who made the accusation. It was something to see! The repercussions could be really bad. I think they actually caused more hard feelings and "stumbling" than any regular publisher ever could.

At the county jail they say snitches get stiches. I think that plays out every where.

The po that I tried to turn in for illegal business practices, the same po that hunted me like a rabid dog, died of liver cancer 2 years later.

    What goes around...always comes around.

Must have been all those "buffet lunches" in the strip-joint next to his office.

It's funny how elders that had prior problems with certain ones, were the persons who desperately wanted to sit in on the JC meetings!

Oh YES!!! Payback with the Circuit Overseer, the Elders and some JWs that egged my house! I have been dying to tell you all..but if I do..they will most certainly nail who I am on this forum! And like I have said before.. I want to make them work at getting rid of me! The longer I am not Dfd the more people I may be able to reach. Hopefully one day I will be able to share my sweet payback! And let me just say it is so good, many here will want to follow suit I am sure..and it will be a nightmare for the congregations! I think they are afraid they will get suied if they try to Df us..not sure though..

    Sincerely,

I knew of an elder that regularly got caught in lies! Everytime an elder noticed his inconsistencies, that elder would be put6 on the "hit list".......Eventually, though, the elder got deleted!
