If you don't mind using your hands, many sectors are borderline desperate for skilled tradesmen.

Sailors and Tool and Die workers were two I heard mention are starting up ad campaigns because there aren't enough young people entering the field.

When there's more jobs than workers, wages and benefits start to soar. For fishermen/boat workers they are now offering over 3 months of paid vacation and very nice starting salaries for entry level positions.

What is the best field to be in right now.

My vote is a big field of flowers with the sun shining down. A nice picnic basket and blanket, maybe some wine. and a real hottie next to you on said blanket! Miles and miles from anywhere and anyone! I'm thinking one of the balds in NC like max patch or something!

Oh wait you mean CAREER fields... Yeah not much money to be made making out in some field... (More's the pity!)

I would say DO WHAT YOUR INTERESTED IN! If you get into say engineering without being INTERESTED in engineering well guess what. You might make a gazillion bucks but you'll be miserable and before long your work will suffer and then you WON'T be making a gazillion bucks AND you'll still be miserable!

Figure out what YOU want to do THEN figure out the financial end!

Just my .02 but I've been around the career corner a time or six!
