Your thread was all-time favorite song and artist, no?
"This is my top ten favorite songs" is bullshit.

TRISTANIA ...DEADLOCKED...YES THIS IS METAL BUT ITS BEAUTIFUL.
On the pop side, "What a Fool Believes," by the Doobies - written and performed by Michael McDonald.
The one that absolutely stops me in my tracks and gets me every time is this one:
Elton, while he was still in the closet. (like we didn't know)
Juan, that's gorgeous. I adore Sarah Brightman. She has the voice of an angel. Beauty and feminism incarnate
Pretty high on my list, even if it does show my age!

Flipper,
Tough one. I'm not sure I'd want to commit to an "all-time favorite song".... :) My musical tastes seem to change as the years go by.
Zeppelin is in my opinion the greatest band of all time. And my all-time favorite song would have to be something by them.
But excluding Zeppelin (just for fun) I'm gonna offer Living in the Past by Jethro Tull.
Turn it up, close your eyes, and enjoy one of the greatest songs ever written!
Peace.
Ain't Got No...I Got Life by Nina Simone
or maybe Feeling Good by Nina Simone..actually anything by Nina Simone
Peace Dog, I love Living in the Past. First song I heard by Jethro Tull. I was 14. I love the Benefit LP the best.
When you love hundreds, thousands of songs, how do choose a favorite? Especially growing up in the 60's and 70's, is it hard to choose a favorite.
I think I probably said that Under the Bridge by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, tied with Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and the Shondells would be number one for me. I have lots of songs that move me.
