This is very puzzling: anyone should realise that any report on a contoversial figure is usually slanted based on the reporter's honesty, source of information, beliefs- and agenda! Your accusations not only mean little- they mean NOTHING, for that was in the distant past. Were you a follower of Russel? It has NO BEARING ON US JWs at ALL- for all that matters to us (me) is (1) what does the Bible REALLY teach, (2) what has Christ REALLY taught, and (3)are there really True Christians to join with today? God's Holy Spirit answers that to ANYONE who honestly wants to know!
I have, out of curiosity, read some of Rutherford's old articles, and heard one of his recorded lectures, and all I KNOW- as a FACT, is that he had a genuine passion for God & Christ! Should I be swayed for your Report? LOLOLOLO! That was a Rhetorical Question!
Get REAL!

Get REAL yourself, our favorite Martian! So JF Rutherford could've done anything, violated any law, and it doesn't matter because it's in the distant past.
The point is -- he created the JW's from what was left over of the WT Society after he dismissed everyone who disagreed with him, and today the organization you so admire is his legacy. And I don't even have time to go into this man's character and how it affected the JW"s of his time.
I KNOW- as a FACT, is that he had a genuine passion for God & Christ
So you knew JFR personally? Even if you did, this would only be your ASSESSMENT and not a fact. He had a passion for running the Watchtower business his way, and he was ruthlessly efficient. HIs passionate preaching was a means to an end. He was not well liked (not even at Brooklyn headquarters), and his lack of love of his fellow man indicates that his appointment didn't come from a "God of Love". Didn't Paul write that if he had all the accomplishments in the world but didn't have love, he was NOTHING?

He might have been sincere in his beliefs, but they were ridiculous and he was wrong. See this article entitled "California Cults" at

Wow ...I'm shocked..... I shouldn't be... but I am.
Thanks Gopher for sharing this... this guy was worse than your average catholic priest that the wts loves to call hyprocritical.
and even noted that a brothel was run for the headquarters "Bethelite" men during his time of control.

I remember reading that Rutherford never stepped toenail in the field ministry.
AGAIN....."DO AS I SAY; NOT AS I DO"

There were no doubt better people for God to choose as his plenipotentiaries on earth to represent his interests and Rutherford, like Russell, was also involved in occultic demonism. The claim is ridiculous and I suppose those dubs that get to know it, will quickly realise the fraud that the WTS is. These are character flaws and the new light concept for justifying doctrinal errors can't work in this case.

I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED IN THE OTHER TWO CASES?

Wow good info... Thank you. The bible was written for the "Anointed" only so it doesn't matter.
Remember to grab a hold of the skirt of the Jew..
