They like people to get animated and become characters. You have to pretend like your the artist in the video or something like that, if you want to win. You got to move around a lot and know the words if your going to go to the top.

Ah, karaoke contests. Unfortunately, most of the ones in my area are a farce. The young pretty girl who shakes her boobies the most wins, especially with men judging. It's usually a woman. Women have such "pretty" voices. The highest I ever placed in a karaoke contest was 3rd (it was one of the non-rigged contests). The dude who got first deserved it. The lady who got second deserved it. And I guess I was pretty good too ;)
