I can't believe Sherman and the surrounding areas flooded. I used to work in Sherman, and still live about an hour away. It is a very pretty town, that has been at a very steady growth for several years. But recently, has been busting at its seams, in new growth, businesses, and buildings.

I wonder if all of the new building could be a cause. Dallas is straight south, about 40 miles. Cost of living is very inexpensive. My husband told me 20+ years ago, that Dallas would expand, all the way to the Oklahoma boarder. He is right. People commute every day. Are these little suburbs, that are being forced to grow faster, than they know how? Do we have enough engineers to understand what happens when we quick build communities? Sounds like a good field to go into.

I don't know if this was the problem, I haven't heard. But Sherman and other towns in North Texas, are not New Orleans. Something went very wrong. Just trying to understand. It is so very sad.
