For years and years I could never go to see slasher movies. Just to much gore etc. Then a couple of years ago Saw 1 came out and I have been hooked on them. SAW 1, 2 and 3. I can not explain it at all. I am now watching "HOSTEL" and can't get enough. Am I sick beyone sick????

I've seen all of those and just went to Hostel II the night before last. I love Horror flicks. I think it would be different if they were "real" movies. I know some people are into "real torture porn" but that's where I wouldn't be interested in watching it. It's the fact that I know the things happening are just fake Hollywood smoke and mirrors. There has been threads on this before, some people think only "sick" people watch movies like this but I think it's just a matter of what you like. Some people like romantic comedy, action, westerns, etc, I like to watch scary movies.

I know what you are saying but I have never liked these movies till a few years back. I know it is hollywood and everything but it's like being a voyuer and watching torture I know is not real at least in the movies...

That's what happens when you are not a good little jdub!! Don't you know that outside of the JW's there is nothing but fornication, sexually transmitted disease, drugs, crime, bad relationships..etc,

Maybe you just never knew you enjoyed that typed of entertainment?, that it's not taboo, the demons will not jump out and get you?, that you are an adult and can watch, listen too, read, say, feel what you want, when you want (of course as long as you are not hurting anyone or breaking the law)
Relax hun, it's ok and it gets better the longer you are out!

Unless you feel the urge to play out the movie I don't thing pysch is necessary, it is helpful for getting rid of your JW demons!

I dig Takashi Miike movies (he has a cameo in Hostel - "you'll lose all your money in there"), not always horror...
