How would you feel if someone approached you in an enclosed space, cursing you out, yelling about "when are you people going to stop thinking you can do what you want"? When that person is approx. 6'2 300lbs, male and i'm 5'4 135lb female???

I might add that unfortunately I live in an area where racism is all to prominent, confederate flags everywhere. I'm African American female and he's the "tobacco spitting", "confederate flag toting white male".

I was trying to not bring this into my post, and now I'm sorry I even posted the damn thread. I don't intend to futher this conversation with you as I stated before and now I'm even more sure you would never understand.

So, racism may have been involved? That does change the picture considerably, especially if he said "you people." I still think you could have picked something else to say that would have eased the situation, but I can see why you said what you did. Since I'm a bit of a redneck type myself, this is rather depressing.

Don't worry NJ, you did the right thing. If this jerk wanted to be next in line he should have been on line. What are you supposed to read minds? lol

When something like this happens, I take comfort in the fact that it's really just a matter of time until this guy runs into another person just like himself. Then, someone ends up dead, and there's one less idiot in the world.

ex-nj-jw.............just admit it..you had no reason to be scared of a 300 lb teddybear, whispering sweet nothings to you!

I would have dont the same as you. And If they are waiting for the teller, they SHOULD be in line. You dont know if they are waiting for someone else, or what the heck they are doing in their car.

The same thing happened to me........i got out, stood in line, and a guy that was in his car got out (didnt say anything) and stood right next to me, and jumped in front of me when the guy was done with the teller. Some people are just rude.......

By the way, this was what my original post stated

I looked at him and said "I don't know what you were waiting for but you weren't in line". I guess I'm supposed to be a mind reader.

The last sentance was just a thought in my head not what I said the guy.

Sorry this happened to you, ex nj jw. I don't know if the race thing had anything to do with it, people nowadays seem to be without feeling toward each other and aren't polite.

Perhaps he didn't have good upbringing, or as we would say in the south. "Didn't yer mama teach you nuthin bout manners?"

Excuse me? Who's the racist here? Why is it the other "team" always crys racism, when you do not know that that was the definitive reason? Perhaps the simple fact that you live in AZ (according to your signature), and its hotter than hell, was the reason the guy was sitting in his truck (A/C) waiting for HIS turn. His resolution of the problem was wrong, but you are no better from your remarks, in fact you are worse.

Oh, and here's some info. the confederate flag is not a symbol of racism (its history). Its racists, like yourself, who use it for or against your advantage and ultimate purpose.
