A few over-zealous brothers came to their own conclusion about 1975. One of them went by the name of Fred Franz.

They can't explain something to you that they themselves don't fully understand or believe

I wonder what Red Cross would say about this? "They claimed that some of the blood fractions don't really come from blood.''

    I think they would laugh!

I guess doctors really pulled one over on the WTBTS! :-)

I can hear a doctor talking with his nurse, "Shhhhh, he thinks blood components are not particles of blood."

I'm perfecting my JW-speech, it goes along the lines of "my mother became a JW and it destroyed her life and broke our family apart." (That's true).

Oh that was just a few over zealous brothers whom came to their own conclusions. She said that the org never promoted such a thing.

Make it about the future, not about the past. I intend to conclude with "You are going to grow old and die. I know you KNOW I'm wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that it's going to happen, and by the time you realise it's true it will be too late to have enjoyed your life. How about making plans for you life just in case you're wrong?"

Its been a week I'v have not her back from her yet.

If you really want to actually talk with JWs you must make an appointment with them before they leave. Get their phone number and call them if they don't show up. That way you can hold what she said against her at the first meeting, and so on and so forth.

Leaving it up to them to come back after you challenge them is just like telling them your house should be a 'do not call'.

You better get their phone number before they find out that you know more than they do. I have never gotten a phone number from a JW after they figured out I was an opposer,ie- informed ex-JW. Good job on your conversation with them. I have seen JW's just pack up and leave the territory after running into a door like yours- it's break time.

They'll probably recount the experience at your door at a Circuit Assembly. Perhaps the angels directed them to not come back to your door. The door NEXT to your's, that's where they'll have found a "deserving one." All well rehearsed, of course.

    Please help!!!!

I've been having a "bible study" at my house for 4 months now with a Jw. Just today I started presenting material from past sermons, etc. that conflict with what they have told me in the past. They, like your situation, said they don't follow what some of the founders taught in the beginning. I feel like I've tried every trick in the book to get them to see past the org. Can anyone tell me what first made you question your faith in the WT? I really love this woman; I'm not sure how much she really knows, she could be lying to me but I truly believe she is blind.

Their "past soon becomes a stranger" to them.

As for as for 1975 " Oh that was just a few over zealous brothers whom came to their own conclusions. She said that the org never promoted such a thing.

Yes, I have had discussions with dubs that said that. "OH NO, the organization never said that." They swear that it
was the brothers running ahead of the organization with their own thoughts who caused all that trouble. As long as
the literature doesn't directly say "Armageddon will arrive before 1976" the rank and file contribute to their side when
they read about "only a few years left" or "no need for college because you will not have time."
