What is weird about this podcast is that the fellow taking phone calls and answering questions seems to be a JW. Yet, he comes out and says the FDS invented their "artfully contrived false story" about themselves.

    It is rather fascinating!

I thought he said at the beginning of the podcast that his name was Robert King? Did I hear wrong?

Here's a link to the amazon.com entry for his book "Jehovah Himself Has Become King". (Is it ironic that this guy's last name also is KING??)

Robert King is an ex jw who was disfellowshipped some years ago.
According to a wiki article I read a few weeks ago, he was df'd for
expressing his views on the fds on his e-watchman forum.

Despite being df'd, he still largely supports watchtower teachings,
and anyone speaking against them on his forum tends to get deleted.

    Quotes from Robert King:

"Yes the Watchtower's 1914 thing is a lot of nonsense." Hold on, wasn't he the one who defended 1914 for years on this forum?

And Robert King's reason for not reading the Book of Enoch (or the Koran or Books of Mormon):

"I guess I just have a very low tolerance for nonsense." Draw your own conclusion.

    Terry,

Never looked into this guy before? Quite a character. To address your confusion: Robert King seems to still recognize the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses as having been chosen by Jehovah as "a people for His name." He basically feels the organization veered drastically off course, and (I believe) had been thinking that he'd be the modern-day Jehu.

He may be the messiah that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:5.
