Can't keep up with pace !!

I take a chance and start my first thread :

As it has been posted quite a few times lately, there has been a noticeable increase in the posting population on this board (I've added my bit) in the latest few months. The consequence is that it takes an awfull time to read these posts -all the more so when one is a non native english writer- and one may feel that any posting we would like to do will be diluted in the whole lot, and/or come too late. Add to this the fact that one has to be selective due to the limited time many of us can spare for JWD, the result is that one just can't catch up with the rythm. Does anyone feel the same ?

My job keeps me on the road all week so I usually visit only on weekends (i'm on vacation this week). I usually search for threads that have just started or a subject that catches my interest...

I *only* speak english and can't keep up.

When I first joined I read every post and keep up on everything. I ended up taking a little time off work to do so. Silly me. But seemed necessary at the time. The board changed my life.

Then it became an addiction. I'm working on recovery from that.

There are many posters who simply start a new thread and then follow that to get the specific help and support they need. The great thing about this board is that there is so much information available to us. The down side is that it's too much for one person to keep up with!

Do what suits you and your situation now. Don't be concerned that you're not up to speed on all the bits and pieces of everyone's postings.

I'm learning to not let JWD crowd out my new life.

I have the same problem aligot.

It would help if all those that open a new topic were more specific with the description of the subject. There are many that I do not open due to lack of time, but that could possibly be interesting. ...if only the author said what it is about rather than using a vague sentence.
