Intercepting JW's on the 4th of July! Oh what fun!

I must tell you an interesting story from today. Gary and I went thru a drive-thru for breakfast and were sitting at our local park (in the car) enjoying our high fat, high cholesterol breakfast when, low and behold, here comes a group of JW's sloooooowly checking out the area. (This is right by the river on the Green Circle Trail, which is a favorite place for joggers, walkers, bikers, etc. You know...aliens who like to exercise) At first we thought they were on call backs, er, back calls, er return visits since there are houses across the street. As we sat in eager anticipation of their next move (which took quite a while since they must have had to take a long rest in their huge, gas-eating automobile)...I was thinking to myself...self...if they're here to do "Park Witnessing"...I'm not gonna sit here and do nothing. I believe that I was engulfed at that moment by the holiest of X-JW spirits; because being the shy person that I am; I would usually not take any action in a case such as this. I digress. Sure enough. Out of the depths of the luxury automobile emerges an elder. He saunters along the walk-way for a couple of minutes, pauses to read the trail map and then approaches a young man who is peacefully fishing at the edge of the WI river. Poor guy. Ambushed on the 4th of July. So Gary and I are watching this unfold before our eyes and I look at Gary and say (this after I have been filled with the holiest of X-JW spirit): "I'm going over there and set that poor fisherguy straight"; even whilst the elder was attempting to exert his powerful mind-control influence over this hapless guy. So I get out of the car and walk over...the elder is done and just leaving the scene of the crime, when I say; "Hi Don"!! He looks and asks me who I am. DUH. Tries to shake my hand but I refuse. Then I tell him and the fisherguy that I am there to undo the harm that this JW has just done. This elder looks totally dumbstruck (his usual look anyway) and at this time Gary emerges from our car and strides over in a manly fashion to come to my rescue. (Not needed...but I guess chivalry is not dead). So he just starts telling this elder just what he thinks of him and the organization (this is my husband's cousin's husband) and it's not a pretty sight. The elder is slowly trying to get away from Gary. Has absolutely nothing of intelligence to counter Gary's expose' of what the elder body in our congregation did to our son. Meanwhile I set the fisherguy straight on the JW's and he looks thankful and probably notices the huge brilliant aura that has surrounded me at the time. Meanwhile the elder is still trying to make his get-a-way from Gary all the while spewing lame excuses for the JW's. As more people are coming by on the trail...Gary's voice is quite loud and he is totally in control of the situation and is denouncing the JW's for what they are and I can see that people are pretty interested in this unfolding drama. After about 10 minutes of this the elder finally just calls it quits and turns around and books it toward his car. (I must also mention that the three other JW's with him, who had gone in the other direction to ambush innocent bystanders...are standing next to the car with expressions of disbelief on their faces. OH MY GOD...WE ARE UNDER ATTACK FROM SATAN AND HIS EVIL APOSTATES AND NOW WE CAN SEE HOW WE ARE BEING PERSECUTED AND FULFILLING BIBLE PROPHECY AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO THE NEAREST DONUT PLACE TO HAVE COFFEE AND DONUTS AND DISCUSS WHAT SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THESE EVIL, WICKED X-JW'S). Ahhhhhhhh...it felt so good. It made my 4th of July. Our own personal display of "fireworks"!! Have a great 4th of July everyone. Cheers...mumsy/cathy

fleaman and kwr: I guess we ALL were using our freedom of speech. If you saw a Nazi mistreating a Jew back during World War II...would you have been one of those who would stand back and do nothing to fight evil? I feel it is my right to speak out against the tyranny of the Watchtower society with whatever method I have available. People who remain silent about wrongdoing are just as guilty as those who do the wrong. (Book of Mumsy, Chapter 34, verse 3007). I thank this site for letting all of us speak out. So you said what you thought and now I can say what I think. And as for the poor fisherguy...I actually came to his rescue so that he would not have to listen to anymore BS from that elder. Amen.

It didn't seem to me they were trying to deny anyone their freedoms of speech. If the JW wanted to stay and rebut what was said he was perfectly free to do so. JW's have fought for years for their freedom of speech, it works both ways.

Very cheesy of you to blame Bible Truth for what a Vile Pretender may have done- unless this "Elder" was the one that (I'm guessing from your reference) abused your son.

Why not condemn the MAN, instead of the Bible that we represent to the best of our ability. There are vicious and pervert Phonies in all religions!
