like in the video said: you dont need higher education because god will care. basically a guy who has no education and criminal conviction BUT serves as a pioneer will more likely get a well paid not exhausting job which just suits his needs perfectly as a graduated college student.

i think i dont have enough faith to try this.

Final few seconds show the conditioned JW mindset.

    According to the speaker.

Getting Educated = Not Trusting in Jehovah

    Astounding reasoning

But we all accepted that once

    Great commentary!

The talk was disgusting. They are guilt-tripping each successive new generation into the mediocrity they themselves were forced into.

If all of this were true what the WTS says, there should be 80% regular pioneers in every congregation, 100% of the elders. For everyone who says they can't pioneer, the WTS has said, you can find someone in those circumstances regular pioneering, so what is your excuse.

Why does it have to be one or the other--education by God and human education. Why people around here have regular pioneered and attended college. The problem as the WTS sees it is not education but education that exposes jws to critical thinking, looking at the big picture. No problem taking a 4 to 5 year program in how to be a union plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc. But then they don't teach the humanities which might make you question the WTS dogma. But you will be just as likely to be around people who do not live up to the moral values of the WTS, bad association.

I heard a talk of this type once, given by a man with a degree, acquired while a jw...but he made all the meetings and regular pioneered....it stuck in the craw of many teenagers and their parents in the area.

BTW, education is not always with the view to getting a job or advancing a career. It can be just for the sheer joy of it.

What about the parable about the talents, doesnt Jesus want us to do our best in the field of our choice. The ones not useing their talents were chastised. Congregations of other churches are encouraged to witness to people in there own way in work or society at all levels.

How could a doctor be witnessed to by uneducated JWs, it may happen but would probably be more successful by his piers..

I know SDAs, Baptists Presbyterian and Catholics all witness their faith in an effective way.

Of couse the real reson the'WT doesnt like higher education is the resons Blondie brought out because they may be to much of an indepentent thinker for the WT.
