THE LETTER `J' WAS ONLY IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE FROM ABOUT SHARESPEAKEAN TIMES CIRCA 1600.

IEHOVA WAS THE WAY IT WOUL HAVE BEEN WRITTEN.

"Yahweh" works better than "Jehovah," too.

i disagree, with that same argument then all the names in the bible that include part of the tetragrammaton should also not be in the bible. Elijah should then be eliiah or eliyah and jesus should then be Yahsua or something to that extent. The rendering of "Jehovah" may not be the original pronunciation of the "divine" name but any other name or word in the bible is also not pronounced today as it would in ancient times, call me a troll or whatever but i agree with the witnoids on this one :D

Leave the word in. Just DO NOT INSERT IT WHERE IT DOES NOT BELONG.

It's no lucky charm. no talisman.

Get an honest translation, with or without the YHWH. The context will show who the writer is talking about.

i agree in a way, the NWT does insert "jehovah" in various places based only on conjecture mostly in the new testament, which seems just a tad bit over emphatic and slightly dishonest to me.

What difference does it make? He's just another made up God like all the other ones in history.

no J, no V (sort of), whatever. Who cares.

Why should it matter? The name Jesus is just a bastardized word for Zeus and has nothing to do with Yeshuah (gesundheit) and it shouldn't be in the 'Canon' either but that was all made by the war mongering Romans. Big surprise.

Besides all that who gives a damn, that old testament god is a blood thirsty, murdering, child killing, vengeful bastard and would be put in the electric chair if he was a man in Texas.

With ultimate power comes ultimate abuse of that power.

Jesus is not a bastardization of zeus, nor is it an offhanded anachronism. Jesus or YAHSHUA as it appears in hebrew means YAH (jah) is Shua (salvation) the name jesus is the same name as joshua, just a different variation of the same hebrew word just as the names Judas (hebrew = Yahudah), Jude, and Judah all have the same exact meaning. The name Jehovah spelled with the letter J was first used by Martin Luther in his German translation of the bible thus if anything the name can be arguably of protestant origin.
