If you are referring to "The Lost Tomb of Jesus". I saw it on the Discovery channel and it's available in DVD. It does bring up some good points and facts. I think it really scares people in knowing these facts about Jesus. No one wants to debate over these facts neither. I think the reason that no one wants to talk about it, is because it will destroy Christianity forever.

It was baned in Quebec, talk about free speech. I don't get the banning thing, they don't want people seeing it but by baning something you just raise more interest because people will say " well if they are baning it then they must be trying to hide something" I know that's what I'm thinking.

If you google for "Talpiot tomb" you'll find a lot of discussion going on the topic in the last few months, pro and con, and that should help to put the documentary into perspective, fwiw.

FYI: The DVD is available at Netflix and probably at Blockbuster. Sorry to hear that it was banned from Canada.

I may not agree with everything the program has said but I find it too difficult to ignore it altogether. I'm not a Biblical scholar but what I do find hard to swallow are astronomical probability figures of the names in that tomb coinciding, by sheer accident, with names in Jesus' family including him. Of course it is possible, as it is possible for me to win this week's lottery. but is it likely?!? is another issue altogether.
I've taped it the other day from TV, so will have to go one more time through it to pick details, perhaps there are things that were deliberately left out I don't know yet. But would also like to know what Leo thinks of that. I mean I know it is controversial issue and such things usually are so I'm not expecting entry community of biblical scholars agreeing with it, but could we step beyond orthodoxy here and look at evidence impartially for once?
