That is basically the idea Free. Neither of us have ever been to Europe.

And like I told him a thousand times.

I am only flying over that dang ocean 1 time. Not 2. Just 1. 1 is enough.

And no, I highly doubt we'd throw you off your own balcony. Just tie you up in the closet while we raid your fridge

NJ: Thank you thank you thank you. I am trying to keep my head up. But it is so friggin depressing. We went through the want ads and the company's here and dang, it's just empty. And at the same time there are maybe thousands of unemployed people vying for the same jobs.....

Good days, bad days Reminding ourselves constantly it could be worse....

I would apply for unemployment. He would qualify for it.And the good thing about it is that he's paid into it so it's not money for free like people think. It may give you some breathing room till you can move or find a new job.Not only that but you could qualify for food stamps if your job and his unemployment don't provide enough to feed your kids. Also most states offer retraining for those on unemployment so he could go to school for next to nothing.Don't forget the free medical to kids. And the free lunches provided by schools when school gets back in. Just some ideas.

Free: Alrighty then sounds like we have a plan of action!!

Noni: He is going to apply for unemployment, but that won't even cover our mortgage, let alone water/electric, cable (need cable as that's our net anyway and we need highspeed for our bus) gas etc And yep we're going for foodstamps and a friend is helping out in helping me locate other relief places....

He is looking into that training, in fact MI does offer that, the problem is employers are not paying enough regardless. So, ok, we don't mind moving, but houses aren't moving. There are abandoned houses in even the nicer areas of MI. Abandon your house, screw up your credit. But if you can't make the bills.........

The only thing I can suggest is to look for work and housing in another state and move ASAP.Before your credit is affected and you can't even rent a place. Also look into bankruptcy. It's not pretty nor easy but it would get you out from under a mortgage if you do intend to move and just leave your house. Otherwise you risk not only your credit but you risk having the mortgage company come after you when they do sell the house for what is owed on the rest of the loan. They can take you to court and sue you for it and garnish your wages. But I would wait till you move that way you will be able to at least rent a place till you can buy again.I hope it works out for you and your family.
