Yeah....all the freedom keeps hitting you right in the face when you first leave....and it gets better and better! What a complete waste of TIME and effort were piddled away in Watchtower pursuits...and how glorious it is to just sit quietly at times and smell the roses that we were in too much of a hurry to appreciate in the Watchtower ratrace!

I was nearly 60 years old when I left....and what a RELIEF it was to not HAVE TO do this or that...not make DEADLINES eating meals....and not have to UNDERLINE ANYTHING so it would "look good on my lap" for the rest of my life! It was very easy to get used to living this way, LOL!

    hugs,

    Annie

    Yeah!

More time to post on JWD too huh R.F.??? Outposting me within 2 months when I've been registered a year??? How dare you! I feel bested!

I like your cheerfulness, you're like all this positivy energy, like the downy huggle bear, but without pushing a fabric softener.

Yeah it's great, I remember when I made the decision to never go to another meeting. It felt SO good, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted, I was floaty light!

Haha yeah I have been posting quite frequently. It's been theraputic. I try to bring cheerfulness here. Many have sometimes called JWD a "tragedy board". I just try to do my part to reverse that. Thank you all! You guys have been great. R.F.

Did you all have to learn/re-learn how to use your free time effectively? How to manage your life without an iron fist holding you in check?

I know people that were in prison for years, got out, and had trouble adjusting to the freedom. They got used to the rules, it kept thier lives organized.

I was comparing the two. I left after being raised in the JWs.... so I re-learned everything on the road. I still adjust somethings, but generally have it all down to an art now.

I had the same feeling too. The feeling of "I lost a lot of time and now I want to accomplish things. Where do I start?"

    It feels great, doesn't it?
